RELEASE IN JANUARY 2025!

Hello Builders!


Those who joined our Friday stream already know that the release of Builders of Egypt will be... in [h2]JANUARY 2025! [/h2]And that’s official! Just a little while longer, and we’ll all be able to enjoy the game. We can’t wait!

Only four months to go! Our bumpy journey, which was supposed to end much sooner, is finally coming to an end.... but is it? Well, no! In the process of developing this game, there have been an endless number of ideas and mainly two hands working on the code.
Some of these ideas will be implemented in the game in different ways, but one of them is free updates as a matter of course, long-term support for the game. You know, working on this game and expanding it is fun (apart from looking for annoying bugs), so you can expect all aspects of the game to be expanded once version '1.0' is released...

But more about that in the next devblogs.

  • Regular streams (approximately every 3 weeks)

Devblog #54 - RELEASE DATE IS COMING

Hello Builders!


The day you've all been waiting for is almost here!

Repeatedly postponed, hinted at, changed, but never given exactly. What are we talking about..?

[h3]The release date! [/h3]

This is, of course, the biggest event in the game's production cycle for us (and maybe even in our lives?), so we'll be doing a commemorative streaming next week to mark the occasion, so ....

Next Friday (13th September), we’ll be hosting a stream to announce the release date! You can catch us on both Twitch and Steam for this special occasion. The exact time of the stream will be posted in the upcoming Stream Event here on Steam, so stay tuned!

This is the most important info, but we’ve got a few more exciting updates to share!

[h3]REGULAR STREAMS[/h3]
We’ll be hosting regular streams leading up to release day! These streams are the perfect opportunity to check out how the game looks, learn new details about the gameplay, and most importantly – hang out with Emi and other Builders! Plus, you’ll get to see new content we haven’t shown before! During the streams, we’ll also share some behind-the-scenes insights into the development process and give you an exclusive sneak peek at the features we’re most excited about. Whether you're a seasoned fan or new to the community, there will be plenty to discover and enjoy.

[h3]PROLOGUE AND DEMO UPDATE[/h3]
To make the wait more enjoyable, we’ll also be rolling out major updates to the Prologue and Demo versions. While they’re not the full game, you’ll be able to get a feel for what’s coming. In a nutshell - better optimization, bug fixes, improved balance, and new content!

[h3]SOCIAL MEDIA[/h3]
We know not everyone uses social media, but during this pre-release period, it will be key! We’ll be posting more info, updates, and sneak peeks more frequently than on Steam, so be sure to follow us there. If you have any questions or issues with the game, join our Discord for quicker support!

Hey Builders!


Some of you might think that since we haven’t been posting here, nothing is happening and the work has stopped. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. This silence means a flurry of activity, adding new elements to the game, and fixing bugs that emerge during testing (huge thanks to everyone who volunteered for testing and is helping us make the game the best it can be!). Silence in devlogs does not mean silence on our social media
But getting to the point - what has changed?

[h3]CHANGES IN UI[/h3]
Cosmetic, but quite significant changes have been made throughout the UI. The icons for almost all buildings, goods, and resources now have a new look that we believe fits the game’s atmosphere much better.



Additionally, the HUD on the main screen has also changed - you can now see much more detail without having to search through various options. Now, just glance at the top of the screen and you’ll immediately know what you need!



A small change for improved readability: the font. It has been changed to make the text even more readable and clear. This small tweak greatly enhances the overall experience.

[h3]REFRESHED TUTORIAL[/h3]
In response to your feedback and suggestions, we are also updating the tutorial. We want to ensure that even the most novice players have no trouble getting into the world of Builders of Egypt. Our goal is for our game to bring joy to players at every level of experience with strategy games and city-builders.

[h3]NEW MINI QUESTS[/h3]
If you thought you would always be searching for lost wives, husbands, and treasures, you’re wrong! New mini quests are now available in the game to make your gameplay more enjoyable without interfering too much. As always - completing a quest will reward you with something that can be very useful at certain points in the game (especially if you’re lacking a specific resource).



[h3]MAJOR AND MINOR BUG FIXES[/h3]
As always, we are working on optimization and bug fixes that continuously come up during gameplay testing. We are doing our best to make the game as enjoyable as possible, so fixing bugs is a tedious but very important task!

[h3]UPCOMING PLANS[/h3]
In the near future, we need to fix some remaining bugs and add a few functionalities that were suggested during testing. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
