MORE upcoming changes to the hint system

Hello all,

I'm now fixing something about the hint system that causes a lot of confusion. The idea is that hints only show when there's something to show, but this causes confusion because in many screens a hint is never shown, so a lot of people have said that it "doesn't work."

So I am going to add a little something to screens where there's nothing to hint, so you people actually get some feedback when you click the hint button when there's not a puzzle, it is clear that there's nothing to hint rather than giving the impression that the hint didn't work.

It will be out soon!

New hint screens, no more lagging mouse and performance improvements.

Hello all!

So, it's finally here. I have added some new "hint screens" to some of the puzzles of the game, so they can help you figure out some of the puzzles.

Another thing I did was change some stuff related to the cursor, so the mouse doesn't "lag" anymore. Lastly, while I was at it, I did some changes to improve performance in some areas. If I find more problematic areas (performance-wise), I will fix them as well.

Greetings!

Upcoming changes to the hint system and other things

Hello all!

First of all, thanks a lot for the support to those who have purchased the game, and also those who have taken the time to leave a review. That really means a lot!

There are two things I am working on to address as soon as I can. First, the hint system. I've been thinking how to improve it and I came up with this idea. Basically, the hint system will still highlight items you can pick, but in puzzle areas it will provide some info that can help solve the puzzles. All I know is I don't want it to be like "put this item here" because that takes away from the experience. The image below shows more or less what I've been thinking about:

And another thing. I'm also doing some stuff to improve performance and also improving textures here and there. These updates will take some days but at least now you know what I'm up to :D

I'll let you know about the progress soon.

Greetings!

Fixes!

Hello all!

First of all, thanks to those who have bought the game and also those who have left a review! I just wanted to let you know that a patch that fixes the issues you have reported is now available and should download automatically when you open Steam (unless you disabled automatic updates).

Some of the fixed issues include:
-a fix for the noose puzzle that prevented you from try the puzzle again
-a fix for a two-gem puzzle inside a cell
-issues where you could pick an item more than once
-the inventory disappearing after a certain dialog
-being able to click through the open journal menu

Some people have asked about the "hint" button. The hint button is supposed to highlight the elements on the screen that you can pick, but it's not supposed to tell you what to do. Sorry about the confusion, so I think I will add a "screen" or something that explains this, and other things, better.

Again, thanks for getting the game, and the reviews!
