Developer Update: Acting on Your Valuable Feedback

Following the release of Tales of the Neon Sea, we’ve received lots of comments and feedback regarding the experience as it currently stands. While much of this has been positive, there’s also been some very useful criticism that has helped us view the game from a new perspective.

To be more specific, some players have reported that the experience suffers during the mid to late stages of the game. Here, the amount of puzzles ramps up and this can cause frustration and detract from the storyline.

Our intention was to keep players engaged with challenging puzzles, however it is clear that our execution was flawed in some cases. We apologise to any players who felt their experience of the game suffered as they passed the midway point and came closer to the end.

We’ve been collecting this feedback across all channels, and are already in the process of making adjustments to some of the more difficult sections, removing some redundant elements, and generally doing our best to make good on our original vision for a fun and engaging experience throughout. We want to thank everyone who has played our game, and all those who took time to leave valuable feedback. We’ll continue working hard, and we’re very grateful for all your support.
