The Talos Principle 2 - Hotfix 1.0.3 is Live!



Greetings, citizens of New Jerusalem! What's that? A new hotfix? You bet it is.

We are delighted to announce that hotfix 1.0.3 is now available. As always, this hotfix is primarily aimed at addressing the most notable issues that the community has reported. Additionally, we're restlessly working behind the scenes on more fixes that we plan to include in an upcoming larger patch in the coming weeks.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation for all the feedback and support you've provided.

[h3]The Talos Principle 2 Hotfix 1.03 Changelist[/h3]

  • Fixed the bug where the "HDR on" setting would not be properly applied on systems with 1 monitor connected.
  • Fixed the bug where the Prometheus Terminal inside a locked Gold puzzle remained usable in certain situations.
  • Fixed the bug where after unlocking a Gold puzzle by solving the last unsolved Main or Lost puzzle in the same world, the Progress Wheel of said Gold puzzle would remain non-interactable until the player re-started the level.
  • Fixed the bug where using the D-Pad of a gamepad while selecting Palm Reader documents or downloading a file could occasionally break player's input or freeze the game

Hi all!
First of all, we want to thank you for an amazing weekend of puzzles. The Talos Principle 2 has been received extremely well, and thank you proudly of the Overwhelmingly Positive reviews you blessed us with.

As promised, we are continuing our work on the game, and keep fixing some of the more notable issues that you reported, which is why we have another Hotfix ready for you. Please find the full changelog below.

[h3]The Talos Principle 2 Hotfix 1.02 Changelist[/h3]
  • Fixed the issue where the player could get stuck in the Golden puzzle before its gates are open. The players whose playthrough is currently stuck inside a Gold puzzle will be un-stuck automatically.
  • Fixed the bug where the Endgame Puzzle Progress Wheels would not be reset after the player dies or restarts checkpoint while solving the puzzle, causing the player to be stuck.
  • Backup save files are now created every now and then, allowing the players to manually restore their playthrough in case of a save file corruption accident.
  • Fixed the issue where the Tetromino Bridge near the Megastructure North Green Laser puzzle could not be solved if starting from the opposite direction.
  • Fixed the issue where the player could have walked out of the Somnodrome room in North 2 lost lab after agreeing to use it but before the doors closed, thus locking themselves out of the room and from progressing the game.
  • Due to frequent crashes, DLSS Frame Generation is now disabled on drivers prior to 535.xx and after 540.xx. You can install a version of the drivers outside of this range to continue using DLSS Frame Generation.

The latest game in the first-person puzzler legacy of Portal, The Talos Principle 2, is getting pretty positive reception. Developed by Croteam and Devolver Digital, the game inevitably cribs some design logic and concepts from Portal and Portal 2, seeing as they're in the same genre. Greetings, everyone! We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the incredibly positive reception we've received and we share our heartfelt gratitude to all of you. We're actively reading your feedback from the Steam community and various other platforms and working behind the scenes diligently to address any and all issues. Our journey begins today with our very first hotfix, which focuses on a few, yet crucial issues.

Changelog
  • Fixed problem where closing the palm reader terminal interface while opening an important document would prevent the player from progressing further due to the inability to open the document again (fixes existing progress that already experienced this issue too)
  • You should no longer be able to exit the terminal interface prematurely after opening the important document.
  • Fixed an issue where choosing English language in settings would apply player's system language instead.
