ΔV: Rings of Saturn News

0.94.0 - Remotely Dangerous

This is a feature release. Changes:
  • You can now upgrade your sensory equipment. Fist off - the drone-mounted remote microseismic scanner allows you to check composition of ore nuggets before you grab them.
  • Microseismic scanner now recognizes on-board equipment.
  • You can tune focus of your microseismic scanner now.
  • Improved performance with multiple ships on-screen.

0.93.1 - Pimp my RCS

This release includes long-awaited tuning menu on Enceladus Prime, with first - basic - tuning options. As with upgrades, we'll add additional tuning options bi-daily, including community-suggested ones.

Changes:
  • New ship tuning menu in Enceladus Prime with first, basic, tuning options.
  • Improved tuning & upgrade charts resolution.

0.92.3 - Nuclear Procedures

This is a content patch and science-fiction hardening release. Changes:
  • New procedural plumes consulted and approved by a nuclear engineer. They take into account specific impulse, thrust, exhaust temperature and propellant composition to deliver scientifically-accurate (and pretty!) exhaust plumes.
  • Graphics detail setting now affects much more elements, giving you better tool to tune performance of the game.
  • Additional intermediate bloom setting for players who don't like default bloom, but don't want to disable it altogether either.
  • Fine-tuned physics settings of ships.
  • Stability and performance improvements.

0.91.2 - Shiny!

This is a polishing release. Changes:
  • Improved performance of faction-specific events.
  • Changed the way upgrade prices are presented to make it clear when you pay and when you get money back.
  • It's now easier to pick a target for autopilot with mouse.

Can't wait till Perseids? We got you covered.

We are releasing the Ringer Edition as a hybrid Early Access / Crowdfunding, giving you and us best of both worlds. What does it mean?
  • When you pledge to Rings of Saturn you will immediately get a game to play. No waiting for beta or early access, you can download playable game right now.
  • You can choose from all the nice backer perks and influence the direction the game is developing on our discord server right now.
  • Even if we don't meet the goals, we will finish the game just as planned. It will just take bit longer, as I have to run other projects simultaneously for funding.
  • You also get a Early Access Steam key with Perseids.

So what is this Ringers Edition?

Game is still in development, but it's fully playable. There are no placeholders, everything that is in game looks just like it will look in finished game. We are still working on adding new content and new mechanics of the game.

With Ringer Edition you get immediate access to the game, completely DRM free and available on all platforms. You will also get a Steam Early Access key with the Perseids.

Interested? Check details of our Early Crowd Ringers Edition here.

Or - if you prefer - just wait for Perseids. It will be a sight to see.
