Assassins of Allansia will be the next digital gamebook in the FFC library!

Are YOU tough enough to survive attacks by Allansia's most dangerous and deadly assassins?

After accepting a challenge to survive on Snake Island, a nightmare unfolds when a bounty is placed on your head. Beware the ruthless assassins hellbent on hunting you down - but who are they? Where are they? Trust no one...

If you're a fan of adventures in the fantasy land of Allansia, you're in for a treat! Ian Livingstone designed and wrote a new gamebook back in 2019 that was almost a nostalgic love-letter to fans of his previous outings, such as Deathtrap Dungeon and The Forest of Doom. In fact some see Assassins of Allansia as sequel to City of Thieves, as the hero is "said have killed Zanbar Bone". We'll let you come to your own conclusions in just a couple of weeks, when the digital gamebook appears magically on the Fighting Fantasy Classics bookshelves.

Freeway Fighter is now available in the Fighting Fantasy Classics Library!

"Devastated by a killer virus, the world you once knew is a wilderness.

Life is lawless and dangerous. Survivors like you either live in scattered, fortified towns, or roam outside as bandits. YOUR mission is to cross the wilderness to the far-distant oil-refinery at San Anglo and bring vital supplies back to the peaceful town of New Hope. Even in the armed Dodge Interceptor you are given, the journey will be wild and perilous. Will YOU survive?

Freeway Fighter has an extended combat system and new rules to wrestle with. All you need is your two digital dice, some fuel canisters and a little bit of LUCK. YOU decide which way to go, which weapons to use and which dangers to risk!"

Many FF fans around the world will remember when the 13th Fighting Fantasy title dropped on to shop and library shelves in 1985. They were blown away by Jim Burns' iconic cover artwork that captured Ian Livingstone's stylish, dystopian future.

You can now join them by adding Freeway Fighter to your Fighting Fantasy Classics library NOW!

Jim Burns' nostalgic Freeway Fighter cover licensed for FF Classics!

Fightasy Fantasy gamebooks have been published a number of times over the decades by different book publishers. This lead to some of the titles having new artwork commissioned in later publications by Wizard Books or Scholastic due to licensing constraints or simply to fit in with the times.

When adding a new title into Fighting Fantasy Classics we like to try and match the artwork as close as possible to the original 80s Puffin green-spine release. This isn't always possible for a number of reasons, but we're super excited to announce that we have secured the rights to use Jim Burns' original Freeway Fighter artwork!

Many FF fans around the world will remember when the 13th Fighting Fantasy title dropped on to shop and library shelves in 1985. They were blown away by Jim's iconic cover artwork that captured a stylish Mad Max-style dystopian future.

"A Fighting Fantasy adventure story with fighting cars!"

In just a few weeks you'll be able to once again race Ian Livingstone's armour-plated Dodge Interceptor across an alternate 2022 future, as you attempt to reach San Anglo to secure vital supplies for your settlement at New Hope! You'll face-off against dune buggies, helicopters, motorbikes, and even an E-Type Jaguar. Start your engines...

Is it time for a long road trip soon?

In 2022 the world's population was virtually wiped out by a lethal germ. YOU are one of the few survivors living in the fortified town of New Hope. Outside roam the lawless new barbarians - death and destruction is their way of life.

Sound familiar? That's because it's the back cover blurb of Ian Livingstone's Fighting Fantasy gamebook, Freeway Fighter, originally published as a paperback in 1985. YOU (or at least other FF fans like you) have decided that this should be the next title to appear in the Fighting Fantasy Classics library!

We ran a Twitter poll through our @TinManGames account with 117 FF fans choosing the next adventure. As you can see the results were pretty one-sided, with 54.7% of respondents gunning for Ian's post-apocalyptic Mad Max inspired adventure gamebook.

Thankfully that was one of the titles we were working on, so expect to hop into your armour-plated Interceptor and fire off a few rockets in a few months.

Please let us know which Fighting Fantasy titles you would like to see added to the Classics library! There's been a surge of interest again since we released Creature of Havoc and Temple of Terror, so expect to see a few more additions this year!
