Patch 0.1.7

Welcome to the new patch! 0.1.7 contains some new QoL features and bug fixes. Make sure to checkout the Balance Change specifically as there were a lot of mini adjustments being made.

New Items
 • AFK check during queue; will now prompt you to accept the game. If someone declines on you, dont worry you are put back at the top of the list.
 • Killing or removing a bear totem from play will unlock any frozen units attached to it. Normal placement/shooting rules apply.
 • Twitch Banner: Check out the new banner in the main menu highlighting some of our favourite twitch artists including development streams.
 • Discord has a new channel to see player count in game; head over the coa-status channel and check it out
 • Discord gamelog visual updates
 • Shooting highlight colour change and fixed issues on Medium and Large units

Bug Fixes
 • (Mac only) fixing visual issue of not being able to see your card art in game
 • If you have a unit that was currently in motion when you turn was up, it will continue until its down including any damage exchanges
 • Trying to shoot a second unit while one was already firing no longer puts that Crasher in a can not shoot state AKA cancelling their shot.
 • Abominable Skeleton no longer deals damage to units it hits while being created.
 • Spawn position of the Abominable Skeleton is now where the hit unit was preventing possible bumping issues with other units.
 • Changing your avatar in game no longer requires a game restart to show in a match.

Balance Changes
Necromancer
• Removed the 4 unit cap from the ability since we now have a general hand cap itself.

Developer Log: August 2021

Welcome to the August developer log update!

Playtesting

We decided to leave playtesting fully open for those that would like to give Crashers of Aetheria a try! Play cross-platform with those on Google Play. While queues won't have as much action all the time I highly suggest either joining the Discord or coming to check out Calvin's art streams over on Twitch to find some of our great community members that are generally down for a game or two.

Summer Break

We are taking a little break throughout August to rest up and enjoy some summer sun. Don't worry though we will be back after a few weeks with more improvements and features for the game.

In Game Updates
Twitch Banner
To give a little back to all those that stream and mention the Crashers brand. We added a new banner in the main menu to showcase streamers that are online.
Discord Bot Updates
Did a few updates to the discord bot including a new dedicated channel to showcase the number of users online, in queue or in-game.

Adjusted the game changelog as well so it looks a bit more interesting including showcasing the winner's avatar.
Offline Mode
These last few weeks we have been working on bringing the offline mode to the game. Currently, it is showing a lot of promise to start bringing a new AI challenge to players looking to play the game. Hopefully, we can get this feature out soon for players so they can continue to enjoy the game.

Community Event

Back in June, we hosted a Discord event to let our community members submit some skin ideas for our Crashers characters. Shoutout to everyone that participated and we hope to potentially do another version sometime in the future.

Thanks,
Team at Red Panda Games

July Playtest Event

It's time to celebrate and bring in more testers on the Crashers fun! For the next two weeks enjoy our in-game event that will last from Monday, July 5th to Friday, July 16th (includes the Friday). Simply complete matches online (no surrendering) and you will be rewarded with XP towards the event. Earn enough XP to progress through the 5 levels and unlock all the cool custom skins. Logging in for your first time during the event will also unlock a new event-specific icon for your account.

So go out and play the game, get some cool rewards for your account that you will keep and help spread the word about Crashers of Aetheria!

Developer Log: July 2021

Welcome to the July developer log update!
Playtesting
A little update on playtesting; it is going to happen to start this Monday, July 5th 2021 and will run until July 16th which is the last day to play. We will be hosting an in-game event during this time to hand out great rewards so make sure to log in and give it a try!
But I don't have access yet!
Don't worry just head to our steam page for the game and click the Request Access button and it will give you access to the game from Monday forward.
Action Bar
This weeks focus has been adding the Action Bar to the game. This bar is located in the top right of gameplay and will give you a history of what is going on within the game. No more fear of looking away and wondering what happened to my team they were just there!
Server Upgrades
This weekend we will be upgrading our servers in preparation for more players to enter testing. Hopefully, everything goes rather smoothly for the event.
New Cards
This last month has been pretty tight with system work within crashers but we did have time to sneak in a totem that has been waiting to see the day of life!

Bear Totem
Disables enemy Crashers from being able to shoot while inside the radius of the totem. Very useful for locking out your opponent.

Developer Log: June 2021

Hey Everyone!

First of all I would like to apologize for not updating Steam as much. The game itself is going strong and we added some more testers to our pool in the last 6 months to help with testing of new updates and features.

Instead of having multiple posts I am going to start doing one developer log per month to showcase all the fun things we have done and added into Crashers. Since there has been such a long gap here on Steam I will fill you in on the last 6 months and where we are looking at in terms of adding in more players and entering Early Access.

Request Access

The first stage of major testing for Crashers will take place for those that have used the new Request Access feature here on the Steam page. If you were an early adopter before this feature came out make sure to click that button. At the beginning of July 2021 we will let anyone in that has requested access and there are quite a bit of you ːsteamhappyː.

Early Access

After we have our testing phase we will start to integrate more features needed for Early Access things such as the skin store, Crasher Pass and locking cards so they can be unlocked through gameplay. Don't worry! our goal for everything pay wise is purely optional. Simply by playing the game will you be able to unlock all the cards currently available. We are shooting for a late July 2021 for Early Access but this could shift out depending if the servers need some extra work during our testing phase.

What Have You Been Doing All This Time!
Art Upgrade
Over the last few months we have been working hard to upgrade every single card, and skin in the game to the final art pass. You truly can see the difference and it looks amazing! We can not wait for everyone to see what it looks like.

This example showcases the new vs old art that was in the game
New UX/UI
After our initial events we ran for closed testers during Halloween and Holidays 2020 we decided to go back to the drawing board and fully craft a great playable experience. The goal was to create an experience for the user that would get them as quick as possible into the action and make sure they only new the key information during the hand hold phase. Along with the new UX we also did a full redesign of both the in game and out of game UI. This UI is more in sync with the game as a whole and allows us to expand many great features into the game. In Game UI was completely overhauled to allow for the possibility of future gamemodes.
Upgrading Servers and Exploring Scalability
During the month of May we took some time to look into a better scaling option for the server. While we are not quite finished yet we made really good strides that could come one day in the future.
Trailer
We have been working hard on our launch trailer for the game. While I can not show too much off I will link a small clip showing the process of one of the scenes.
Music
We started to integrate some new music into the game.
