Weekly Dev Update - November 20/19



HeJ Vikings!

We are going into our second week of features that will bring exciting news for the coming months. We are continuing on our two main objectives which are to make the Giant #3 and adding a Construction system. This week we're:

🐲 - 3D Modeling and animating the Giant #3
💉 - Starting implementing the Healing Station
🚧 - Finishing prototyping the Construction Logic
✏️ - Creating Concept Arts for all the Constructions
🌉 - Continuing implementing new Spawn Logic for Camps
⛺ - Continuing integrating new Camps in the Land of Pools
🌇 - Researching various Features like Player Ping and Map Markers
📹 - Continuing creating Cutscenes for the Open Beta 3 Update Trailer
💥 - Balancing in general the Mobs and the Generation for the Open Beta 3
🔨 - Fixing various Glitches related to Gates, UI, VFX, Post-Process and more

Community Localization Update #5

"HeJ Vikings!

Tribes of Midgard now has 7 languages in game. That's a huge amount of work you've made in 5 weeks!
The next languages translated in 100% will be integrated for the Early Access next year. Keep working, You're all doing an amazing job, even if you haven't reached 100%

This week we added new lines for the next Building features, that's why all the languages are now at less than 100%. Please check by using the filter of empty rows, you'll find it really easy that way! :)



What's New?


No new language this week, a small break from the past 4 weeks!

The Localization Team now has 50 members! That's a huge team, thank everyone for helping us. Please welcome this week:
  • Sehested for Danish
  • Matsuki for Afrikaans
  • Nefarian for Hungarian

No update this week, we just added 16 new lines.

Weekly Dev Update - November 13/19

Hey Vikings,

Another Wednesday, another update! The Open Beta 3 build is locked and almost ready! It only requires some further testing and balancing changes. We are preparing now content and features for the next testing phase.

This week, we're:

⛺ - Continuing integrating Camps in the Land of Pools (concept below)!



🚧 - Prototyping the Construction Logic
🐲 - Starting integrating and testing the Giant #3
👿 - Revising spawn system in Camps for Creatures
🌉 - Continuing implementing Camps with Doors Logic
📹 - Filming and editing footage for the Open Beta 3 Update Video
⛯ - Researching various Features like Construction UI and Map Markers
🔨 - Fixing various Glitches related to Gates, UI, Post-Process and Barrels

What kind of Constructions do you think we're adding?

We're going to MEGA + MIGS this weekend!

We're also preparing for the upcoming MEGA+MIGS Convention this weekend! If you're in Montreal, come find from November 16-19th, at Booth #9112! Community Localization Update #4

HeJ Vikings!

It was an intense week for us. We integrated all of the languages that were 100% done! Loc Team, I'll say something: you're amazing! Because of you, 6 languages are now integrated in-game



What's New?

We are finally on our last stretch to lock the current build for the Open Beta 3. From there, we’ll take time to test it and start working on features for the next build.

This week we're:

👿 - Texturing the Unsunken Viking Boss
🐲 - Continuing drawing Concept Art for new Giant
📰 - Integrating Biome Level Indication on Mini-Map
🔥 - Integrating remaining VFX for all new Creature Spells
⛺ - Continuing integrating Landmarks in the Land of Pools
💥 - Continuing Integrating new Visuals for Explosive Barrels
🌠 - Designing option to transfer specific amount in/from Community Chest
🌇 - Researching various Features like Vegetation Effects and new Creature Equipment
🔨 - Fixing various Bugs related to Night Cycle, Gates, Inventory, Audio, Controller and more
