Egg Hunt Challenge & Update v1.4

🥚 Egg Hunt Challenge
A special new seasonal event to coincide with Easter weekend!

When? 15th-22nd April 2022 (inclusive)

Just like the Trick or Treat event at Halloween, this event modifies Daily Challenge mode for a limited time. As usual, you'll only get one chance to play the Daily Challenge each day so give it your best shot!

[h3]🦖 How the Egg Hunt challenge works:[/h3]
  • All Gems are replaced with hidden Snaptor Eggs.
  • These eggs are invisible at first, but will appear when your players are nearby.
  • Eggs are worth 100 points each, but are more plentiful than Gems.
  • Collecting an Egg will fully replenish a player's Stamina.
  • But be warned: Snaptor Eggs will hatch after 3 turns when revealed, so collect them quickly!


[h3]🏆 Achievement change[/h3]
One last note: the 'Trick or Treat' achievement has been changed to 'Extinction Event' and is unlocked by completing any seasonal event. So if you missed the Halloween event last year, you now have another chance to unlock this achievement!


🆕 What's new in v1.4


[h3]✨ Added[/h3]
  • Egg Hunt Daily Challenge: a special new seasonal event running from 15th-22nd April 2022.
  • Resolution controls added to Graphics Options menu.
  • You are now offered the option to restart a stage if you are defeated (provided that restart is available).
  • Undo Suggestions; you will now be asked if you want to undo actions if you end your turn with any players in danger (provided that Undo is available). This feature can be disabled in the Gameplay Options menu if you prefer to live life on the edge.


[h3]🔧 Changed[/h3]
  • "Trick or Treat" achievement changed to "Extinction Event". It can now be unlocked by completing any seasonal special event (not just Halloween).
  • Rocks no longer appear in Stage 1-1 (partly to make "Uptown Top Ranking" achievement more reliably attainable).
  • Your score is now submitted to the leaderboard if and when you abandon a Daily Challenge run.
  • Options menu is now split into multiple pages to make room for more options.

[h3]🐛 Fixed[/h3]
  • Achievements will be automatically synced between Steam and local save data in the event of a mismatch. This is to resolve an issue where some players lost their local save data.
  • Languages other than English are no longer automatically selected (they're not translated yet!). Actually this bug was not fixed properly. Now fixed in v1.4.1.
  • "Long Shot Kick the Bucket" achievement now displays the correct name and description.
  • Player facial expressions and sweat droplets now correctly reset when you use Undo.
  • Wounded monsters' blood droplets are now affected by the "Grey Blood" setting.
  • Controller settings now correctly update if you restore defaults on a different tab.
  • "Catch Ball" icon no longer appears if you preview a shot against a stunned Sascatch.
  • Team Info screen is now correctly centred in the middle of the screen on larger resolutions.​

  • 9 new Perks.

  • Steam Deck controller button set (select it by disabling 'Automatic Button Style' in Options menu, then select the Steam Deck button set).
  • Blood splats appear whenever characters are hit or killed.
  • Blood splat colour can be tinted grey in the Options menu.
  • 'Voice Volume' slider in the Options menu (affects human players, monsters and the Judgment overseer).

  • Ticks now stun characters when they attack.
  • 'The Winner Takes it All' achievement is now checked when you first load the game.
  • Using 'Undo' during gameplay now shows a big, clear notification popup.
  • Title screen loads faster if you have 'Auto Skip Cinematics' option enabled.


[h3]🐛 Fixed[/h3]
  • Fixed 'Seven Deadly Wins' achievement not updating correctly when you quit.


Major Changes


[h2]New Perks[/h2]
There are 9 new Perks which encourage a variety of new play styles across all 3 player classes. As usual, these perks can randomly appear during regular runs with randomised Teams, or you can unlock one of the 5 new Teams (see below) to try them out straight away.

[h2]New Teams[/h2]
5 new Teams are now available to unlock before starting a new run. These Teams all make use of the 9 new Perks mentioned above.
  • Team Leeches
  • Team Relayers
  • Team Daredevils
  • Team Huddlers
  • Team Penumbra


[h2]Blood splats[/h2]
The dungeon just got messier. Some of the new Perks above make use of these blood splats, which will appear whenever you hit or kill monsters.



If you don't like a big red mess, you can swap it for a big grey mess using the 'Grey Blood' setting in the Options menu.

[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed Block Party achievement not unlocking when Fast Mode setting is enabled.
  • Fixed Lightning Hazard tile popup stating that it does 10 damage when it does 5.
  • Fixed monster sounds continuing through the loading screen during the Trial introduction sequence.
