THE FOUNDATION - EXPANSION 1
Delve deeper into the world of Control in Expansion 1 ‘The Foundation’. Explore the roots of the Oldest House and discover strange secrets unknown even to the Bureau.

The Astral Plane is colliding with our reality. Jesse Faden, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, must travel through the caverns of the Foundation to prevent the Astral Plane from consuming the Oldest House. The Foundation Expansion includes new story content and side missions as well as new weapons and mods inspired by the Oldest House’s mysterious origins.

AWE - EXPANSION 2
The Bureau studied its most dangerous Altered World Events in this lost sector. The records were sealed, the objects contained, and their powers abandoned. Now, the sector is breached and the objects are loose.

Jesse will need to explore the Altered World Events investigated here, including one from the town of Bright Falls where Jesse learns more about the disappearance of the writer Alan Wake...

AWE additionally brings new story content and side missions as well as new weapons and mods to the world of Control.

Alan Wake joins Control in AWE DLC gameplay video

The upcoming AWE DLC for Control will release at the end of this month, and developer Remedy Entertainment has showcased the first 15 minutes to wet everyone's appetite. In the footage, Alan Wake is properly re-introducted for Remedy's shared universe.

Towards the start of the gameplay, Jesse Faden finds a letter about a request for information on Wake and the events of Bright Falls. What's strange, though, is that the FBI special agent looking for the info is named Alex Casey, who also happens to be the detective in Wake's crime novels. Faden then finds Wake's hotel room, and hears him having a conversation of some sort.

Jesse starts to find shadows around the Federal Bureau of Control similar to the ones Wake had to battle, alongside the Hiss that continue to infect certain regions. It appears different aspects and ideas from the original Alan Wake are literally bleeding into the surreal horror game, making everything that much weirder and more interesting to investigate. Naturally, the demo ends on a cliffhanger.
