v1.3.1

--Additions--
- Epoch Rewards - Players in Houses that participate in Glory Rounds can earn bundles of rewards at the close of an Epoch. There's prizes for all Houses up for grabs, no matter who claims the ultimate victory!
- Epoch Gameplay Changes - now that Epochs will begin to start and end, we've introduced gameplay changes as the world matures through the Epochs. Perks like double battle rewards or new loot from PvE battles are the kinds of bonuses to expect.
- Added a small Epoch indicator in the main HUD UI that when pressed gives a little more info about the current epoch and future epoch bonuses

--Changes--
- With the Epoch functionality fully realised in this update, we'll also be dramatically adjusting the currently-placeholder Glory Round targets and amounts to be more balanced (and beatable!)
- Turns out Legion marching speed (how quickly a Legion moves from location to location on the Empire Map) was tuned to be too fast vs our original intentions, reduced legion marching speed by 50%
PLAYER SUGGESTED - Aspects of the tutorial could take too long to load or progress, leading to confusion with many new players. Dramatically reduced the idle time in the Tutorial
PLAYER SUGGESTED - As players progress, the Cargo amount you collect from other players also rises massively so the 25 bonus from the Priestess Advisor seemed inconsequential. Raised the max amount of CP gained by collecting other players commodities from 25 to 100 CP, cargo amounts to do this have also risen

--Fixes--
PLAYER REPORTED - House leadership now receives a report notification if an Alliance applies to them
PLAYER REPORTED - Having Fort Cards in play or played during an attack will no longer cause discrepancies of battle results between Attacker and Defenders
PLAYER REPORTED - Resolved an issue that was causing some PvE battles to present differently to the player than being delivered to the server - battle results should consistently match now
PLAYER REPORTED - Vault space for stealing Houses should now update correctly when launching successive attacks without needing to refresh certain UI panels
PLAYER REPORTED - Demoting an Officialis of a House should no longer removed that players Alliance from the House unintentionally
- Last patch we removed some less popular cards from circulation, this had an unintended impact of actually hiding them from players inventories. These should now be visible again although the cards remain out of circulation
PLAYER REPORTED - Fixed a number of text and localisation issues

Build 1.2.1

HOTFIX
- Improved server stability and data management to mitigate unwarranted disconnects and login issues for players

Build 1.2.0

Additions
PLAYER SUGGESTED - Added your system time to the settings menu as well as Server time (UTC)
- Added a report for all members of a City when a Barbarian presence is detected in a controlled Town or Stronghold and therefore the location is at risk of being reclaimed
- Added visual indicator to locations on the Empire Map that currently have a barbarian army present within that's reclaiming the location
- Added the option to play cards in succession or to play a single card
PLAYER SUGGESTED - Added a grid texture to the floor when in Fort Designing for improved accuracy
- Added a slew of additional tooltips to Combat and the Tribute Hall
- Added a panel in the Glory screen that displays the victors of the previous Glory Round
- Added additional feedback when successfully purchasing Trajans

Changes
- Removed some of the weaker City Center donation cards (those that offer < 50%) and removed cards that pertain to City Center buildings that are not currently open for play from appearing in Card Packs or being purchased with Card Points
- Occupy City Attack option can now only be used to Relocate a suburb to a new slot. Previously could only be used to Found a new suburb slot
- Stone Circles in Barbarian Towns can now activate and will gain a chance to do so when the location is cleared. Legion presence in the location can negate reactivation
- Redesign to the Tribute Hall. Dramatically simplified the process and UI to make it easier to interact with and to accrue rare resources from
PLAYER SUGGESTED - Minor visual redesign of the Storefront based on player feedback

Fixes
PLAYER REPORTED - Sabotage should now correctly display improvements gained through later research on the Research Panel
PLAYER REPORTED - Imperial Points displayed as rewards from successful Imperial Point raids should now visually match what the attacking player receives
- Resolved Error 850 being triggered when collecting lots of resources in your Suburbs
- Improved the description of Error 314 that's displayed when upgrading a House raises its footprint to such a degree that it no longer fits in its previous location
- Research could complete mid-battle causing inconsistencies between the server and the client resulting in incorrect reports or outcomes (visually), this is now resolved and these instances should dramatically lessen
- Houses that enlarge their footprint could delete mandatory suburb roads, breaking player suburbs. When a house footprint is raised through an upgrade, it's now no longer possible to place it over mandatory suburb roads
- Resolved an issue that could cause sever instability at the change of the Current Political Cause God in the Senate
- General improvement of Quest text for grammar, clarity and typos
PLAYER REPORTED - Fixed an issue that was causing Tavernas to display for a number of buildings in Suburbs and Towns info panels
- General fixes, additions and improvements to German localisation
PLAYER REPORTED - Resolved a crash that could occur when sending a message to the City Praefectus from a Wharves panel
- Fixed an issue that was showing the incorrect prize for Quests in the minimized list

Romans: Age of Caesar - Out Now on Steam!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCA81WbtsiM
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears! Today we proudly announce that Romans: Age of Caesar is out now and free to play on Steam!

A brand new co-op city builder from a team of veteran Caesar developers, Romans: Age of Caesar is the latest historical strategy game from our team here at Firefly Studios. Players must rebuild the once great empire as they share resources, re-establish trade routes and protect their cities from barbarian invasion. Experience classic city builder gameplay across a sprawling online empire as you build, trade and fight alongside fellow players in a shared open world. Revive the republic and restore the Roman Empire to its former glory!

In our last Romans video we discussed what made the empire such a compelling setting for videogames and entertainment in the centuries following its collapse. To further discuss exactly what makes this setting and our new historical MMORTS special, we have none other than Firefly Studios co-founder Simon Bradbury, creator of Stronghold and former designer on the Caesar series!

Assembling each ancient city state from its early foundations into a flourishing beacon of civilization will be a puzzle to solve. From its architectural layout and strategic defences to your economic establishments and cultural backbone, it takes serious effort to rebuild Rome... Which is why you’ll be doing it alongside 15 other Governors! Pool responsibilities and resources to advance your shared city and then expand your influence over thousands of other players across the empire.

This cooperative gameplay extends to the wider region, with countless other player cities led by their own ruling Governors. This can take the form of negotiating trading routes, exchanging supplies, developing new goods, combating barbarian hordes and extending the frontiers. Eventually with a network of cities established you will form a new Roman Empire, a commonwealth of a size and scope the world has never witnessed!

Within this network of factions vying for supremacy there is the grand Roman Senate, a political endgame that will decimate all but the most shrewd power brokers. The road will be long, but the rewards are more than plentiful for those deemed worthy of them. Be crowned as Caesar himself and have your name echoed throughout the ages.

Nevertheless talking can only do so much and it didn't work out too well for Caesar... So why not explore our new, expanded empire map for yourself by playing Romans: Age of Caesar now on Steam!
