Dear Somnium Space community,

last two weeks we were busy making Somnium even better. We have listened to you and made improvements to make life inside Somnium Space more interesting, alive, fun, social.

Please see below list of updates coming today to our client:

- dramatically improved performance. On average FPS is up 1.5 times of previous builds values.

- Bowling leader-board is live! Show people your real skills.

- Basketball on the main square. Enjoy game with our friends and play around the whole square.

- Interactive cubes! Build amazing structures with interactive cubes and see them fully synchronized with other players.

- Tablet sharing. It is possible to share tablet with friends. Take a selfie and see your friends tablet and both of you in the camera screen for much more fun experience. (browser sharing and other tabs is not active yet).

- Birds. Added birds on the trees, sky, water etc. Find a cool Easter egg related to birds and post video of it to our Discord channel!

- Back-end improvements, server stability improvements, minor bugs and fixes.

- Smoother avatar head movements.

- Improved sounds

Hello amazing Somnium people!

You all did it! We reached 111% of our goal in 3 days! This is beyond any of our wildest expectations and we are forever grateful to have you all on board! We still got 2 months to go and many more people are joining our community every single day!



As a way to celebrate this we are launching a new absolutely exclusive and limited Perk - Live Forever Mode subscription. Yes, you heard it right! Only 75 of you will be able to experience this special mode inside Somnium Space in 2019. That means we will be recording all your moves and actions on your parcel then using this data to allow you spawning your second YOU as an avatar and let people talk to you even if you are not there. We know, it is a lot of "you's" in this sentence, but that's because we want you to Live Forever in a digital reality!



Those who are members of our Discord channel already know, that we are working hard to deliver the biggest and most complex update to Somnium Space in Feb 2019. In order to celebrate this goal, we wanted to share with you our work in progress on the new map. Not only it is the most beautiful environment we've ever created but performance is much higher meaning rocking 80+ fps ( Samsung Odyssey+, 140% super-sampling) all the time! Majority of things from current Somnium Waypoint you will still find there, but also much more! We can't wait to show you your new home world in VR! Enjoy the preview! we've been hard at work creating new features, talking to community, fixing bugs and adding better performance!

We are happy to announce that our new latest patch is finally live!

What's new:

- Jukebox added to Arcade hall with exclusive songs from Artist3D and DJ Revenger!
- New kind of Somnium avatars added: bodies, styling parts, hair styles etc.
- New type of Cartoon avatars added with functional faces, eyes, lips etc.
- Two new stores added: Sony and Pimax stores are finally officially LIVE.
- Added basketball to main square
- Added bar elements to Arcade hall
- New interaction for 2D players added.
- Bug fixes, performance updates
- Sky, clouds, sun improvements

- Haptic feedback added for certain interactions

- Bridges fixed
- Performance improvement (10+ FPS improvements, 30%+ CPU load improvement)
- Account credentials window update
- Teleportation hubs interaction in 2D fixed.
- HotDog stand is now live
- Screenshot button in 2D client and VR are now saved in My Documents /SomniumSpace folder
- Locomotion on WMR is placed on to joysticks
- Dynamic music playback / stop is implemented in all audio zones
- MacOS version created. Coming to Steam soon.
