Update 0.4.0 Traits and Traps



[h2]Balance and gameplay[/h2]
  • Team members can now have personality traits that make them more individual. E.g. someone will demand more food every day, and someone will not mind scrounging a little money from the general supply.
  • Also some warriors may become ill or temporarily injured as a result of battle, which will affect their stats for some time.
  • Traits and diseases can be viewed in the command window by selecting the appropriate slot. There you can also see statistics on the warrior, how many days he has been on the team, how many battles he has completed, etc.
  • The ability to knock out weapons from enemies when parrying their attacks has been implemented. In this case they will be forced to engage in hand-to-hand combat.
  • Improved AI for the Berserker and Viking Defender. The parameters of enemy and allied units have been balanced. Grouth in health has been increased as the level of opponents increases. The health of bosses in non-quest camps and flocks has been increased.
  • The parameters of some unit and hero skills have been changed for a balanced game.
  • When landing, starting from the 4th unit in the squad, it is allowed to take +1 to the quantity of each item except alcohol.
  • If a player raised a wounded unit at a location, then the number of days of treatment for that unit will be large.
  • The reward for victories in the arena has been increased.
  • The prices of goods from the gnome Willy have been increased in accordance with inflation.
  • Fixed: sometimes different health levels of bosses in the large bar below and the small one next to the unit were shown.

  • Traps have been added to locations. Spikes are triggered when friendly and foreign units step on them. Cranes allow you to drop loads on crowds of enemies.
  • Food tables have been added to many locations, with the help of which the squad can refresh themselves and restore some of their health.
  • New weapons and armor have been added to unit models. Added variability in character faces.
  • Improved display and behavior of unit models in locations: incorrect animations, overlapping units, missing armor elements.
  • New statues of players have been added who help us find bugs and make useful suggestions for the game in their reviews.
  • Many other improvements have been made to locations related to the location of objects, appearance and geometry.
  • Fixed: In some locations it was impossible to break slingshots.
  • Fixed: Altar markers disappeared in the Jormund's Cave location.
  • Fixed: in some locations the team found itself cut off from the hero at the start of the battle.
  • Fixed reported errors, stuckness and behavior of units in cut scenes, including boarding battles.

  • Significantly improved the appearance of all 3 areas of the travel map, including forests, settlements and other objects.
  • The difficulty of boarding battles has been increased based on the area on the map.
  • The travel map interface has been improved: animation has been added to the ship's strength icon, and an icon has been added for quick access to the ship's tab.
  • The health of Snake Jormund in the floating state has been increased.
  • Fixed the sunken position of some ships.
  • Fixed multiple raider attacks within one day.
  • Raiders will now aggress at the player in response to fire.
  • During naval battles between raiders and merchants, the merchants can sink their opponents.
  • Fixed: Fishmen ships sometimes could not catch up with the player's ship if they had high speed.
  • Fixed cases of fog of war reappearing in explored areas.

  • Added icons for slots when replacing a ship: a green plus sign and a red cross, which indicate new and previously available slots.
  • In the list of ships for purchase they are sorted by cost with selection by type enabled.
  • In the description of the ship's equipment, the necessary slot for installation has been added: bow, deck, etc.
  • Added a hint on blocked slots if they are not available for the current ship.
  • Fixed: The ship model was not updated when purchasing a new one.
  • Fixed: Items could be duplicated in ship slots.


[h2]Miscellaneous[/h2]
  • Animated notifications have been drawn for events of ship damage and the acquisition of traits and diseases of crew members.
  • Various errors in displaying tooltips have been corrected, as well as some typos in the texts.
  • Fixed receiving achievements for defeating Thorstein.
  • Fixed some cases of game crashes.

Hand to hand combat

[h3]In the upcoming update among many other improvements we will add melee combat to Drakkar Crew. Now all human characters will be able to fight with their bare hands. E.g. if they are disarmed in battle, or they think that someone is wrong in the tavern.[/h3]
