Hey everyone!
So, it's been awhile since I worked on Lawless Lands, but I had some ideas leftover that I never got the chance to work into the game as I ran out of time. I decided to add in some more of the scrapped ideas due to the OVERWHELMING amount of requests for more magic in the game. As always, I will mention that magic was supposed to be somewhat rare in the Lawless Lands world, but now you have the opportunity to get even more of it - through witchcraft!
I'm adding a new DLC which will release in a few days which will be called Witchcraft for Lawless Lands. The price will be $2.99 or your local equivalent.
The new spells offered in the DLC should pair very well with the black school of magic already in game to create some very dark and powerful builds.
I've also gone ahead and updated nearly all enemy spellcasters with at least one of the three new spells that come with the DLC, so you'll have some new enemy tactics to deal with and new challenges to face! This part of the update is free for everyone!
Update 2.5.8 Changelog:
Changes & Additions (Added for the DLC):
- Added new magic class - Brown - Witchcraft (Requires the Witchcraft DLC)
- Added trickery spell (Witchcraft - trick an enemy to attack their allies for up to 2 turns)
- Added poison thorns spell (Witchcraft - poison thorns are shot at an enemy)
- Added cataclysm spell (Witchcraft ultimate spell - the ground violently erupts beneath all enemies and has a high chance to stun them)
- Added new status (Tricked)
- Added 3 new spell animations for the new spells
- Added wand of trickery (Comes with trickery spell)
- Added staff of trickery (Comes with all witchcraft spells)
- Added handling methods for Witchcraft DLC ownership
- Added 3 new unique titles for Witchcraft DLC owner (Crone, Witch, Occultist)
- Updated Sky's witchcraft shop with the new weapons (Find her in her forest hut on the West side of Durgim's Mill)
- Added new icon art for the spells and new weapons
- Updated several enemy spellcaster skill lists to use some of the new spells (Free for everyone)
- Updated the main character, spellcaster companions, and second soul character skill lists with the new learnable skills (Trickery, Poison Thorns)
- Added bonus items when activating the DLC (3 Witch Brews for temporary but long lasting experience boosts, 1 Wand of Trickery, and 1 Staff of Trickery added to your Strongbox)
This update will work with existing saves. It will be available shortly.
