1.4 Update + May Tournament Announcement

What's up everyone!

Are you feeling the summer heat already?
We certainly are as we're preparing for our vacations 🏖️
But not before giving you guys another update!

AND what better way to celebrate all the improvements to EndCycle VS since launch than with a grand tournament!


[h2]Let's get into it starting with the update![/h2]

[h3]EndCycle VS 1.4 is here![/h3]

We've listened to your feedback and spiced up Adventure Mode quite a bit with new events and better ways to improve your roguelike experience!

+ New Mini-boss event that allows you to fight noises and obtain powerful passive-skills as rewards!
+ Noise Leak events where Noises will ambush you in groups!



+ Mysterious tablets can be found all over Anikka now...
+ New dialogues when playing as Yven
+ Made it possible to rearrange VOCs!
+ Noise battles drop specific VOCs now that are indicated by their coloring on the map
+ Noise battles drop element VOCs dependent on their own element.
+ Punks / Agents will now randomly attack or befriend independents instead of being passive towards them

We still have quite a few ideas for Adventure Mode that you'll see soon but for now we hope you'll enjoy this much improved roguelike experience!

Now for some balancing changes:

* Balanced campaign star rating to be more forgiving
* Fixed requirements to obtain 5 stars on a lot of campaign missions
* Stacking Tempo/Impact style with pre-existing buffs now increases duration instead of intensity
* Berserk / Meek no longer affect crush power
* Characters:
* Tankitty: Fixed passive firing off shots when not getting damage and fixed them changing panels
* Farmadile: Fixed Ultra not hitting correct amount of times
* Yven: Fixed invulnerability exploit when misplacing Crystal

VOCs:
* Lv1 IceCrawl: Increased speed debuff duration to default, Power 110 -> 130, Crush 10% -> 13%
* Lv2 Swap: Extended invinicibility period
* Lv2 FrostBack: Spawned IceCube is now treated as full-fledged IceCube and is not broken on fall
* Lv2 Caffeine: Increased speed buff duration to default
* Lv4 Generator: Made HP visible, Power 120 -> 110, Crush 16% -> 14%, Max hits 6 -> 4
* Lv4 Gigantree: Shows remaining health

Styles:
* Lv0 Infuse: Reworked to now grant Berserk to user in exchange for health
* Lv0 Mindgame: Fixed panels getting changed through cursor with certain attacks

4 updates in less than 4 weeks, heck yeah!

Update Time! 1.2 and 1.3 have released!

[h2]WOW has it already been two weeks since launch?[/h2]
We can't believe how much the community has grown since then, thank you so much everyone!
After receiving TONS of new feedback we've already updated the game THRICE since launch.

Here's an overview on what has changed over the past two weeks!!!
[h3]Difficulty:[/h3]
  • Made all difficulties easier and reduced CPU difficulty
  • Rebalanced some adventure mode encounters and campaign missions
  • Prevented complex AI enemies from using Lv3 Invis, RepairPlus and RepairAll and Lv1 Invis-Style
  • Adjusted the amount of Ebits earned through battles and adventure mode
  • Softened environment hazard in Arahas Desert

[h3]Quality Of Life:[/h3]
  • Added quick-filtering in VOC menu by holding down the Turn button and pressing the four directional buttons
  • Replaced "Sale" section in shop with "Tips" sections that recommend VOCs based on current character
  • Simplified and reworked Yven's Ultra
  • Added pop-up tutorials in menus and adventure mode
  • Added VOC / Style description when getting rewards in Adventure mode and BattleCycle

[h3] VOCs:[/h3]

  • Lv2 Panic: Increased Haste and decreased blind duration
  • Lv2 Meteors: Power 120 -> 110, Crush 120 -> 90
  • Lv2 LogLaunch: Power 100 -> 90
  • Lv2 ChronoRip: Decreased slowdown of countered target
  • Lv2 Frostag: Reduced spawn delay and increased fall speed
  • Lv3 PotatoBomb: Reduced explosion delay
  • Lv4 HeatStorm: Increased travel speed
  • Lv4 LeafCross: Removed flinch
  • Lv4 Artillery: Increased bomb fall speed
  • Lv1 SpikeTrap: Is now placed two panels ahead of the player
  • Lv2 PainCrave: Removed penalty when failing, increased heal to 150% of damage taken

[h3]Styles:[/h3]

  • Removed Lv0 RushBack, Lv1 Haste, Lv1 Brake, Lv1 Berserk, Lv1 Meek
  • Added Lv0 Impact: Target gains Berserk buff and Brake debuff
  • Added Lv0 Tempo: Target gains Haste buff and Meek debuff
  • Turning is now possible while using Rush-2 and Rush-3 styles
  • Lv0 Treasure and Lv0 Cyber now target player with buffs/debuffs
  • Buffed default Haste/Brake status effect duration and intensity
  • Reworked Lv1 Repair -> Lv1 Yoink: Steals buff from target
  • Lv0 Infuse: Fixed health being drained too much when using multi-hit attacks

EndCycle VS HAS JUST RELEASED!

After 9 hard years of development the time has finally come:

(Resolved) Launch Delay

Hi everyone!

Today is launch day!
We are beyond excited. Although we were planning on releasing the game at 3PM GMT we are currently waiting on Steam to fix some internal issue so the game can finally go live.

Thank you for your patience we hope this gets resolved ASAP so we can all go an finally play EndCycle VS together.

UPDATE:
Early Access owners of EndCycle VS are now also unable to play the game. We have reported this to Valve and are awaiting a response.

UPDATE 2:
ALL ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED! THE GAME CAN BE PURCHASED NOW! We hope you all enjoy EndCycle VS to its fullest.

Huge Update! New character, VOCs, Ultras, Styles and more!

Hi everyone!


We hope that you're having a great weekend!
Today is the day! Our first major update ever since the end of Early Access has arrived!

Let's get straight to it!

[h2] Introducing... YVEN[/h2]


Yven is the second in command at Azure Shield. Del's right hand man and what many see as the strongest man in Anikka. Shrouded in mystery his abilities heavily differ from any other power previously seen in this world. His mighty crystals serve only one purpose:
Let Del re-awaken the Godi in order to destroy them for good.


His ability and his ultra VOC work together in tandem.
Yvens ability lets him carry 3 shards with him that he shares with any entity that gets hit by one of his attacks.

His Ultra VOC spawns a crystal that affects anyone carrying these shards - depending on the number of shards the effect gets stronger or weaker.

The effect of the crystal is determined by the last VOC-Type Yven used.

[h2] New VOCs[/h2]
Gigantree and Inksplash are here to shake up the game!

Gigantree creates grass panels around itself through an unshakeable and unmovable tree, while Inksplash is a new way to blind your enemies and deal damage to them at the same time!


[h2]7 New Styles!![/h2]
Here are our three favorites:
[h3]Treasure[/h3]
With the "Treasure" style you can wrap up a nice gift for your enemies... and watch it blow up in their face!


[h3]Mindgame[/h3]
The "Mindgame" Style forces any entity hit by it to use the VOC you've styled with it!


[h3]Ninja[/h3]
With the "Ninja" Style you switch places with an entity on the field and let it use your VOC for you!

We can't wait to see how you will use these VOCs in the future!

[h2] The following characters have received completely overhauled Ultra Vocs![/h2]

The Punks Ultra VOC changes as soon as they enter their "Determined" phase after reaching 0 HP!
This makes it the ultimate "comeback" move!


[h2]New Maps![/h2]
4 new multiplayer maps have been added! Parallelogram, Rainy Day, Fiery Palace and Electric Danger!
Two of these maps incorporate Noises into their design for the first time ever in EndCycle VS!



[h2] New font and dialogue boxes![/h2]
We have polished ALL in-game fonts and added speech bubbles to give each interaction in the game more flair!

[h2] New and improved Adventure mode![/h2]
Thorughout your adventures you'll now be able to stumble upon special events that are character-specific and give you additional advantages/challenges throughout your entire run!



We've also included new enemy formations and re-balanced all encounters to properly scale with your progress creating an immensily improved flow!

The starting/continue screen has received an overhaul as well!


Plus take a look at this flashy new boss-death animation!

[h2] Battle Start Dialogues![/h2]
At the start of battles characters will now spout unique interactions depending on which characters are facing each other! These comments can be disabled for the multiplayer!

Every character has received battle-win messages to really bring their victory home!

Changes big and small across the bord making EndCycle VS smoother to look at than ever before!

Our boy Fin will teach you all about creating your own Attacks, Dialogues, Campaigns, and even Battles all within the EndCycle VS Toolbox!
