Update 0.84 Exalted Paladin

A new update focused on crash resolution. We are also starting to add content and make finer balancing adjustments. We are also working on feedback and game clarity, especially with regard to quests.

  • New : the Aquarium card is now available for the Alchemy deck
  • New : the Pegasus card is now available for the Ligth deck
  • New : validating a quest now show a dialog to confirm your success
  • Balance : students do a bit less trouble
  • Balance : guidance counsellor bonus to learning boosted
  • Balance : psychologist is now far stronger, giving a buff to student immunizing them to sanity lost
  • Fix : fix crashs on start of new levels (depends of CPU speed)

Update - 0.83 Shadow Priest

This update focuses mainly on the character navigation system. We are aware that not all problems will disappear, but the gaming experience should be much more satisfying. We have rewritten a large part of the character code for this purpose, which will make it easier for us to improve AI later on. Thanks for all your useful feedbacks !

  • New : complete overhaul of the navigation system
  • New : new basic tutorial
  • New : new color and animation for stars (showing quest advancement)

  • Balance : once you validate a quest, you can't lose it anymore
  • Balance : insults between students are less damaging for sanity

Update 0.82 Fat Goblin

This update is still focused on bug resolution. This is a new step towards stabilizing Spellcaster University. A number of crashes have been resolved, backups are more stable, and a handful of travel issues have been resolved. But there is still a lot of work to be done. Thank you for your many feedback!

  • New : loading screen after cinematic (smoothier transition to main menu, remove some starting crashes)
  • Balance : "Village Mage" give more mana
  • Balance : first level in a magic is a bit easier to gain
  • Balance : "Bed of Repentance" effect is stronger
  • Balance : "Magical Hat" effect is weaker
  • Balance : "Lessons prepared" boost is much stronger (25% to 35% boost)

0.81 Nasty Lich Update

Greetings dear magicians. We are actively working to address the various bugs discovered at the early access release. This first patch offers some fixes, but this is only the beginning. The main change should reduce the number of crashes on most configurations. Other more important fix are in progress.

  • Fix : huge improvement of performances on long game (by removing memory leak on textures)
  • Fix : far less crash to desktop caused by memory leak on most configs
  • Fix : tooltips no more offscreen
  • Fix : speed of flashing of the zones on the regional map in low quality
  • Fix : put component in dustbin close potion panel
  • Fix : wizard hat effect now correct
  • Fix : terrarium position is nicer
  • Fix : elementalist dojo now give the right amount of mana, and train only in elementalism

Early Access Release

And here we are, it's Spellcaster University's early access release! There is still work to do, the game will evolve further thanks to your feedback. There are still some finishing touches to be done. But we will be active, we plan to publish an update every one or two weeks (depending on whether it is a bug or content update).
