0.7.2 Released - A few Achievements, and other improvements

  • [Added] Introduced initial support for Steam Achievements. There are only three right now. I'll gradually expand this in future updates. Achievement icons are also just placeholders for now.
  • [Added] Audio setting to disable the "beep beep beeep" sound effect when low health, in case people don't like hearing it.
  • [Changed] Adjusted the Time Trial goal times on "Like a Glove" after a recent adjustment to the level's layout.
  • [Changed] Changed the upward portion of "High G" to more reasonably require the use of a second Rift to get up.
  • [Changed] Small tweak to "Run the Gauntlet" to make it more clear how to get passed the barrier gates.
  • [Changed] Adjusted the beginning of "Reality Check" to make one of the goals more clear.
  • [Changed] Updated the "Hard Armor" message in Acrophobia, temporarily, to at least avoid an inconsistency later until I fully clarify things. (Thanks, deee)
  • [Changed] Swapped out a section of "Fog Warning" to hopefully be a bit more interesting.
  • [Changed] Rift Launcher in "First Gen" now plays a claxon before firing, to keep people from being so surprised.
  • [Changed] Some slight improvements to "Leap of Faith" to increase the chances that players will see the important things when they happen.
  • [Changed] Made the hole in the floor in "Exothermic" more noticeable. Too many players were missing it, and feeling annoyed by it.
  • [Changed] Small tweak to "Critical Mass" to make it more explicit/obvious when the platform doors open.
  • [Changed] Small adjustments to "Wallbreaker" to make a failure sound more obvious.
  • [Changed] Recommended graphics preset determination has been adjusted slightly to require a higher amount of VRAM to recommend Max and High settings. This is because previously, low end machines with only 2GB of VRAM would have been considered "High".
  • [Changed] Updated the "low health" warning sound to avoid similarities to a certain sound in another popular video game. (Thanks, ultimategamer95)
  • [Changed] Rift Launchers now have a more noticable sound effect play when they fire, to make it easier to know it's about to happen. (Thanks, deee)
  • [Changed] The option to restart the demo from the beginning, for speedrunners, now requires confirmation. Regular players were button mashing and resetting the demo unintentionally without knowing what was happening. (Thanks, Stacose Gaming)
  • [Changed] Robotic Soldier is now 10% less lethal. In practice this means you can take one hit from him, if you're at full health, without dying. This was done to ease the stress of those encounters, where previously one mistake meant restarting.
  • [Fixed] Fixed a minor bug where the player's hand would sway back and forth when standing still in an elevator.
  • [Fixed] (GRAVIABUG-1) Fixed a major bug where the player could fall out of the elevator in "Group Effort". (Thanks, Kikaiki)
  • [Fixed] (GRAVIABUG-3) Fixed a bug in "Barrier to Entry" where the player could get stuck against the wall, held by the Rift, unable to move. (Thanks, Forszili)
  • [Fixed] Fixed a bug where players using a Controller/Gamepad would get locked up after seeing the "Time Trial Unlocked" screen.
