fpsVR Beta - 2.1.8735

The fpsVR BETA has been updated with the following changes:

Steam Link
  • Fixed: headset battery was displayed as "Other batteries".
  • A workaround has been applied to a SteamVR issue (with Steam Link) where the VREvent_PropertyChanged event from SteamVR is missing when a headset user changes the headset frequency in the SteamVR interface. This caused the fpsVR logic to not work correctly.

Timer
  • Fixed a bug that caused "-01" seconds to be displayed when the timer ends.
  • Fixed a bug that resulted in the absence of a sound notification when reusing the timer function.

AMD GPU

- File amdadlx64.dll was removed from fpsVR both public and beta versions:

I forced to decide to remove this file from all assemblies due to issues.
And after that, in order for temperature monitoring to work via AMD ADLX, this mainly used for mobile AMD GPUs/Boot Camp Drivers for AMD GPU or if standard AMD ADL is failed to initialize, you will need to install AMD driver that was released not earlier than 2023. I assume that all AMD drivers starting from 2023 will include amdadlx64.dll. Unfortunately it is possible such drivers do not exist for all mobile AMD GPUs (in this case, you can try to take this file from the AMD drivers released in January 2023 and put it in the Windows\System32 folder)

fpsVR Beta - 2.1.8714

The fpsVR BETA has been updated with the following changes:
  • AMD GPU: The refresh rate for GPU monitoring using ADLX has been increased to 2000ms (if the user setting is set to less than 2000ms).

ADLX is used in approximately 5% of cases for users with AMD GPUs, in cases of using mobile GPU chips, drivers for Bootcamp, and in cases where the driver does not work correctly and does not initialize the standard API: ADL. Unfortunately, AMD does not fix problems with their APIs: ADL works generally well, but for some unknown reason it does not work for some users (possibly on certain driver versions), while ADLX has been about a year since its release and still has not fixed issues with performance.

fpsVR Beta - 2.1.8710

The fpsVR BETA has been updated with the following changes:
  • Added experimental support for temperature monitoring for Intel processors with Ext. Model 0xBA (13500H/13900H) and with Ext. Model 0xBF (13400F/13500/13700HX). The next time you run fpsVR after this update, Steam may request administrator rights to update the CPU monitoring service.
  • The timer function now announces the end of the timer once, without any advance warning. This is not the final version, most likely there will be changes in the next beta version.
  • Changed the icon used in the SteamVR dashboard, more suitable due to changes in the SteamVR interface since version 2.0

SteamVR 2.0 and branches with older versions

Hi,
Due to possible incompatibility, branches(betas) Previous and Previous2 have been removed in order to force the transition to the latest version of fpsVR (because some people use SteamVR 2.0 and old versions of fpsVR). If you are still using an old version of SteamVR, then try new recreated branches(betas) of fpsVR:
previous_ (for SteamVR 1.16-1.22)
very_old (for SteamVR 1.12-1.15)
But do not switch to it if you have SteamVR version 2.0 or higher.
Use main branch (public) with SteamVR 2.0 or higher

PS There haven't been any fpsVR updates for a long time, but I promise there will be some soon :)
