fpsVR - 1.13.1

The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:

  • Fixed wrong scaling for elements of overlays and windows for users who use a custom scale in Windows settings or/and use HiDPI monitor as main desktop monitor.

fpsVR - 1.13

The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
  • User Interface update
  • New tab "Help" in settings
  • fpsVR now display CPU usage for all logical CPUs (cores/threads) and not only the maximum instantaneous usage among all threads/cores in the system (see "CPUs" in overlay, up to 128 logical CPU supported)
  • Added support for AMD Overdrive8 API (Temperature for GPU AMD Radeon VII / RX 5XXX)
  • 2 new positions for in-game overlay (under controller) (mostly for Index controllers)
  • While the dashboard is open, the SteamVR laser pointer will no longer activate the display of fpsVR settings on the in-game overlay if the laser pointer comes from the same hand to which the overlay is attached. The issue was observed on some types of controllers.
  • Fixed display of supersampling settings (resolution settings) in fpsVR when switching beetween Manual and Auto resolution settings in SteamVR.
  • Desktop Utilities overlay now works again.
  • Improvements, optimization and other fixes.

fpsVR - 1.12

The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
  • Added tab "Chaperone" in settings:
    • Various settings for the play zone, perimeter, SteamVR central marker (some settings may not work on VR headsets other than Vive / VivePro / Index)
    • Added settings for the distance of appearance of Chaperone bounds, the ability to disable Chaperone (only for Vive / VivePro / Index)
    • Added the ability to rotate the game zone by a predetermined angle, rotate the zone in the direction where the VR headset is looking, the ability to restore the zone to its original position (as of the moment fpsVR was launched) (for all VR headsets) (if you use OVRAS, then rotation settings will not be permanent, fpsVR conflicts with OVRAS)
    • Added settings for warning about approaching the boundaries: audio warning, open Dashboard (more settings may be added in future updates)
  • Tab "fpsVR" in the settings:
    • Added option to enable keyboard shortcut for Hide Overlay function
    • Added display of the current key combination, and the ability to set your own combination (displayed only when if keyboard shortcut is enabled)
  • Tab "Advanced" in settings:
    • Added page displaying the current IPD (interpupillary distance) and the ability to specify an offset from this value (SteamVR restart required to apply this setting)

Known Issues:
Desktop utilities overlay is disabled in this version, because it does not work with the current version of SteamVR 1.9 (it’s hard to say at the moment whether it will be possible to restore it to its previous form). But you can still point one controller with the active laser pointer over the overlay on your other controller and open the Utilities tab in the settings, while the Dashboard SteamVR is open.

fpsVR - 1.11

The fpsVR has been updated with the following changes:
  • Added IPD (interpupillary distance) logging, now it is displayed in a window on the desktop (display in the overlay may be added in future versions). Session history viewer (fpsVR History Viewer) also now displays IPD (see the Report section). To use the history viewer: enable history recording using the corresponding option on the "fpsVR" tab in the app settings, there you will also find a link to the folder where the history viewer shortcut lies.
  • In the Desktop Utilities Overlay (which appears under the SteamVR desktop overlay), the function of invoking the SteamVR window "Knock Knock" is added.
  • openvr_api.dll has been updated to version 1.8.19, the appropriate changes have been made to the app code.
