Killsquad - One week to go

Welcome Bounty Hunters,

We’re one week away. Wow. That was quite a journey!

Our last Early Access BETA Test and Early Access Tokens Special Event are done. So, we are fully focused on Killsquad’s 1.0 Release, which is happening this 21st of October. The game looks healthy. Reviews look healthy (thanks everyone! We’re on the verge of that 70% overall review score we always wanted!). We have a few awesome content creators who will be streaming the game next weekend. It’s gonna be a week to remember.

But, before we get there, all of us here at Novarama thought that it might be nice to sweeten that waiting time a bit. And there’s no better way to do that than with a small tease of what’s coming after Killsquad’s 1.0 Full Release. That’s right - this is not the end of our plans for the game. In fact, you might say that it’s a new beginning!

With the bonanza that was our last year’s Halloween event, we can now confirm that it’s making a comeback! That’s right, the spooky spectacular Killsquad spectacle is coming this year too. Stay tuned as more details are incoming really soon.

And that’s not all. Killsquad will get a proper end-game: Inferno Mode, Legendary Weapons, and the Impossible and Random Colosseums all drop between now and the new year. We will tell you more about them at length over the coming weeks. But in short, we took in your feedback, we threw in some ideas of our own, and hopefully we came up with a cocktail of hack’n’slash goodness that you’ll enjoy over and over again. As a secret surprise, we want to give Killsquad a competitive edge as well, so get ready. Do you think you’re the best bounty hunter? You’re gonna have to prove your worth against the other bounty hunters from the community, soon.

As some of you may know, Momma and The WAHLA Corp LOVE Xmas. So it’s only fair that we will celebrate it in style too. Get those Xmas jumpers dry cleaned people, as this will get serious.

So yes, rest assured. Next week is gonna be all about the launch. But the team is already working on new stuff. And we feel you’re gonna love it. Expect a full update soon.

Last, but not least, we want to thank you. Thank you for your support, for believing in us and our game, for all your suggestions, and help. Without you, Killsquad would not be the way it is. So once again, thank you! Great journeys require great travel companions, and we couldn’t think of a better crew to cross these long two years, than you guys.

Of course, we want to ask you for a favor too. The final one until release, I guess. Since Killsquad 1.0 Full Release is coming closer and closer, if you haven’t left a review on Steam, please take some time and consider doing it now. It is really important for us. Why? Because releasing with good reviews means more visibility. More sales. More funds to make the game even better.

The Killsquad Pre Release Update is here!

In this update we must say goodbye to the BETA VERSION and to the chance to get the exclusive BETA SKINS. Moreover, Early Access tokens leave the game and this implies that the skins that are purchased previously with these tokens, now are going to cost credits and the badge "OUTER REACH PATHFINDER" is no longer available to achieve. However, don't worry, there is still a lot of content and challenges for you Bounty Hunters!

GENERAL

· Added new tips in the loading screen.
· Changed mission objective texts at contract "DOORS WIDE SHUT".

BUG FIXING

Crashes:

· Fixed a crash that might occur with a VR widget plugin when the player tries to start the game.
· Fixed a crash that might occur to Clients when a "SEED OF THE PLAGUE" dies and there are some players inside the Colosseum portal at contracts "POPULAR REQUEST" and "CLEAN THE MESS".
· Fixed a crash related with hit vibration.

Major Issues:

· Fixed a major bug where a player can get the same curse twice in a plague contract.
· Fixed a major bug where at contract "THE AURORA RELOCATION" enemies stop spawning in "S.K.Y.F.E.D" battle.
· Fixed a major bug where the talisman "FORTUNE STICKS" decreases the amount of used gadgets in the inventory.
· Fixed a major bug where the enemies do not attack the player when he stays under "M.A.G.N.U.S" at contract "FOR THE UPRISING".

Fixes:

· Fixed a bug where some heroes weapons appear oversized in the weapon shop preview.
· Fixed a navigation mesh bug, making some enemies get stuck in "M.A.G.N.U.S" battle at contract "FOR THE UPRISING".
· Fixed some contact hovers popup bugs.

One week left of the Early Access Tokens Special Event!

Hello Bounty Hunters,

Our Early Access Tokens Special Event is still on! Right now you can find more Early Access Tokens in chests scattered around the maps. There’s no better feeling than getting more Tokens for your work! Hop in now since the event ends on Friday, 15th of October, at 3:30 PM CEST.

Keep in mind that you can use those Early Access Tokens to buy character skins in the Shop. And if you have any unused Early Access Tokens at your disposal, they will convert to a new shiny badge on the 15th of October.

Go out there Hunters and get as much of those Tokens as you can!

Hello everyone,

We are coming with a small, but oh so important, announcement. If you want to get your hands on the unique BETA skins pack, and you haven’t done it yet, this is your LAST CHANCE to do it!

Our very last Killsquad BETA test is on right now! Don’t wait too long though since it ends on Friday, 15th of October. You have only 7 days to take part in it and get your rare skins. After that date, they are gone forever!

Before we wave goodbye, we have one more important thing to point out. Please, make sure you save your game on the Cloud. This is crucial. In case you lose your save, change your PC device, or just anything else, it’s always good to have a backup copy of your save game. If you take a part in our BETA test and get for yourself a skink pack it will be saved only on your local save. If you will lose your save, and with it your BETA skin pack, unfortunately, we will not be able to do anything about it. So please, please make sure you will use the Cloud.

Here are all the instructions you might find useful.


How to store your progress in the Cloud:

By Default, your progress is stored locally on a PC. We highly recommend enabling Steam Cloud to avoid progression loss when switching computers or formatting your PC. To do so, please follow these instructions:

Right Click on the game > properties


It will open a window. In the General Section Check the box at "keep the save game on Steam Cloud"

How to join the BETA:

Go to your Steam Library and right-click on Killsquad. From there, follow the next steps:

Click on Properties > Betas > Enter the next code m9XVbZvCRv3bwxeF > Check Code

Now you will have the option to select the "beta - Beta Channel" on the beta programs! (if for any reason you can't find the beta program, try restarting Steam).

How to make a report:

Even though it is not necessary to follow all the guidelines, this format would help us to grasp all the necessary information in the shortest amount of time. A summary of the error is a must.

Please, use the Discord channel beta-bug-report to report your bugs. For crashes and fatal errors, send an email here at [email protected].

An example of a report:

Summary: I can't buy any item with any vendor while playing on any contract. Can you reproduce it?: Yes
Description: When I play on any contract and I try to buy anything on a Vendor, the "Buy" button appears glitched and I can't buy anything! This happened right after the update. Steps to reproduce: Go to any contract and find a vendor. There, try to buy anything.

Description: The game crashes when I'm fighting Helldorren (Veteran) and I use the shuriken when he is doing the spinning attack.

You can copy and paste the folder location at your explorer: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Killsquad\Saved

If the game crashes "randomly", please include all the details of what you were doing until that moment. Every bit of information helps us tremendously to be more efficient with our schedule.

Please remember that the progress you make in the beta won't be transferred/synced with the public, final version.

Hello Bounty Hunters! remember this is the last opportunity to earn the BETA SKINS PACK there will be no more BETAS. Also, keep in mind that after the 1.0 Release those skins will not be available anymore even if we do more betas after launch, they are a special gift for the Early Access players!
We will extend a bit the time for the beta because of the downtime we had, this one will last until Friday, October 15th.


BUG FIXING

Crashes:

· Fixed a crash that might occur when the player does damage, kill enemies or do an AOE.

Major Issues:

· Fixed a major bug where the idle state of the RGB lightning for Steelseries and Razer was not working.
· Fixed a major bug where the player went into debug camera mode when he dies after completing the "OVERPROTECTION" contract.
· Fixed a major bug where the "PRIME DOLEM" did not add a slow to the player with his jump attack.

Fixes:

· Fixed a bug where some floating assets were creating shadows on "WASTELAND 7A" maps.

Full Release Date, New Trailer, and a New Price Announcement!

Welcome Bounty Hunters,

We started our journey with Killsquad around two years ago, and we have to admit, it feels both like yesterday and a long time ago all at the same time. Time flew so fast we can’t believe we are now close to the full release Yet during these two years we’ve also poured ourselves into testing, polishing, adding new content, creating updates, reading your comments and feedback, and fixing the game. It was intensive, but also very rewarding. We feel that as a studio, and people, we’ve grown. We’ve learned a lot along the way and this whole time is an experience that will stay with us for a while. We also want to say a huge thanks to you, our Killsquad community, for all the support, kind words, feedback, comments and reviews on Steam. Thanks to you we feel our work we’ve put into this game was totally worth it.

And now the moment that both you and us have been waiting for! Ladies and Gentlemen, we are proud to announce that Killsquad is coming out of Early Access and will be released in its full glory on 21st of October! To celebrate this date, watch our brand new trailer right here:

We also want to give you some heads up about an upcoming price change for Killsquad. From the beginning of our Early Access phase, we added more content to the game, new additions, features, improvements, and changes to Killsquad. With the game now coming to a Full Release together with all this new content, we will increase the price of the game to EUR 29.99 | USD 29.99 as of the 21st of October! So if you are still thinking about getting the game, but you didn’t have a chance to do it just yet, now it’s a good time before the price increases. And if you already have the game, well, then nothing changes for you at all. But you might want to tell your friends about the increase in case they want to save some cash.

Now, just because Killsquad is coming out of Early Access, it doesn’t mean that the updates will stop. In fact, there is more content in the works after the game is out. We’ll let you know more about them in the near future.

BUG FIXING

Major Issues

· Fixed a major bug where the achievements "WASTELAND 7A ARCHIVIST" and "SKUA ARCHIVIST" were granted at the beginning of a new save game.
· Fixed a major bug where the enemies did not attack the vehicles of the contracts that needed to protect some payload.
· Fixed a major bug where some enemies and the minion charged with "S.K.Y.F.E.D" could be stuck under the floor or at some walls, preventing the player from finishing the boss fight at "OVERPROTECTION".
· Fixed a major bug with the Steel series RGB controller, leaving the lightning by default.
· Fixed a major bug at "POPULAR REQUEST" where the seeds remained after the boss death.

Fixes:

· Fixed a bug where the warning icon of the vehicles stayed activated when the player dies.
· Fixed a bug where the weapon from Cass is moved away from her when the player is trapped inside a trap from the "HUNTED HUNTER" contract.
· Fixed a bug where the "UPGRADE" buttons in Japanese were too small.
· Fixed a bug where the "PRESS TO ESCAPE" widget was shown on top of each trap without being trapped.
· Fixed more holes at "WASTELAND 7A"
