Gamedec - Definitive Edition News

Gamedec - Patch 1.7.1 is live | New free playable skins!

Hello, Detectives

We're ready to release the latest Patch, including various fixes to the current-existing and fresh cases, added with the Definitive Edition Update. As promised, we can finally put the new, free and playable skins for the Player's avatar. Izmael Krostov, Dafne Bennet, Teriel and Kirk Anderson.

Izmael and Dafne were available in the store for quite a time, so we hope some of you had the chance to get familiar with their background. If not, we're re-introducing both of them.

Teriel, the main character from Seven: The Days Long Gone, was brought to life as a diginet. Adapting to the new reality wasn't easy. It changed when he became a gamedec. He uses his master thief skills and experience to solve cases. And he's good at it. Becoming the best is just a matter of time.

Kirk Anderson - Due to his worsening health condition, Kirk was expelled from the Out-Rangers. He was allowed to keep his armor, which relieved his physical pain and gained him the respect he always needed. Becoming a gamedec is the only possible way to ensure that no one sees him as a failure.

We hope you will enjoy playing the Gamedec story with the new skins. Each of them is equipped with a different set of aspect points located in the various professions. Those tweaks have a real impact on the game. We will release another batch of new characters in the following weeks, so stay tuned!

Gamedec: Definitive Edition is VERIFIED for Steam Deck!

👋 Hey detectives!

Yes, there is everything great with your eyes; the title is not a lie or a clickbait! Gamedec: Definitive Edition is VERIFIED for Steam deck! 🔥

You could play the game on this handheld already, but the badge on Steam Store is something we really wanted for quite some time now!

We know that the vacation season is over; BUT, October is cold, and the next couple of months will be even colder, so you can explore the virtualia under the warm blanket with hot chocolate next to you (we'd say, in the other hand, but playing with just one hand would be kinda impractical). ❤️

Unfortunately, we have a delay with the skin bundle we mentioned in our previous article. We want to assure you that these skins will be free, just we will deliver them to you a little bit later than we anticipated. We are working closely with Valve to find the best solution here; we want everyone to be happy!

Until the next time!

Team Gamedec!

Kirk Anderson - freshly baked gamedec joins forces!

👋Hello detectives!

Yesterday, we introduced you to Teriel, who has become a gamedec. Today, we have a completely new character who will join the team in Gamedec: Definitive Edition!

Let's check out his backstory; he has a rich past with a lot of experience 🔥

Kirk had a troubled past, as since he was a small kid, he had a gift for getting into all kinds of mess. Every time he did something wrong, his father was there to get him out of trouble, so he made sure his son would eventually become a responsible and honest member of society. As a member of the management board of Ground Cleaners, he knew which strings to pull, getting Kirk into the ranks of the Out-Rangers.

Kirk landed on the outskirts of Warsaw City, investigating new species and protecting the dying Mother Nature. He was aware of the whispers behind his back and all the disrespectful glances shot in his direction. The other Out-Rangers knew how he got this position and despised him for it. Kirk desperately needed to change that.

Though Kirk succeeded, he paid a high price. While on foot patrol, he rescued a civilian from an animal attack, but he was injured, with the animal’s venom severely burning his skin. Due to his worsening health condition, he was expelled from the Out-Rangers.

The only thing he could keep was his armor, which relieved his physical pain. More importantly to Kirk, it brought him the respect he always needed.

Now, he had to find a new way to make his father proud and repay him for all the trouble he’d caused in the past. Although, he mostly wanted to make himself as useful as possible after being reduced to a pitiful version of his past self.

That’s why he became a gamedec – working from home and traversing virtual worlds from his couch was his safest choice.

Kirk has to make everyone see he’s not a failure, especially now. And being a gamedec is the only way to do it.

Gamedec: Definitive Edition is coming tomorrow! We'll share more details on the specific hour of the update in the next article!

Gamedec x Seven: The Days Long Gone

👋 Hey everyone!

As Gamedec: Definitive Edition is coming in two days, it is the perfect time to share with you some more details on the new character skins that are coming along with it!

One of them will be Teriel - the protagonist of the game Seven: The Days Gone Long! We are aware that not all of you may know the game, so let us introduce you to him (but we still strongly encourage you to check on the game yourself!) ❤️

There were times when die-hard fans cosplayed as their beloved heroes. In the XXII century, it’s possible to bring those characters to life - literally. That’s exactly what happened to Teriel, a main character from the Seven: The Days Long Gone game, who was brought to life as a diginet, with all his flaws, strengths, and scars. It wasn’t cheap or easy - the whole procedure of creating a body, almost identical to his 3D model, took a while, as did Teriel’s adaptation to the new reality.

To ease this transition from post-apocalyptic pastures to futuristic landscapes, he spent some time at diginet school. The most important lesson he learned was that despite the enormous technological leap and evolution of day-to-day existence, people didn’t change that much. The rich get richer; the poor get poorer. Weak and strong are just labels, and if you want more in your life, you have to weasel your way around people ahead of you. And that’s something Teriel was more than okay to work with.

On the outside, he’s harsh, cynical, and selfish, but it’s just a facade. Deep down lurks an idealist who wants to help people and make a difference. That’s why during his time at diginet school, it turned out he’s the best suited for a gamedec profession. At first, he was skeptical. He used to be the Master Thief, after all, the best of the best, and with this, he had to start from zero. But with time, he realized that being a good gamedec is not that different from his previous line of work.

Setting traps, patiently waiting for mistakes, and executing his mastermind plan are the core elements of this job that give him thrills. He lives for it; he thrives on it. He’s not a knight in shining armor - Teriel is always the biggest winner in the cases he’s working on.

Doing some good along the way is just a side effect. At least, that’s what he tells himself.

That sums up Teriel's origin story as a gamedec; if you want to check on his full story, check on the Seven: The Days Gone Long yourself!
