Caine's route was officially completed in September 2019. Early access was available to Patreons only. Which means that he'll be released for free in early 2020! For an exact date, be sure to follow on social media such as Twitter for any announcements.

With Caine's route being completed, James' route has been underway. It is roughly one year per character, so you can expect a 2021 release for James. Patreons are already enjoying his 1st chapter. Here's a screenshot of his first chapter, featuring MC's brother Ralph (nameable!), and an older Caine.


When Caine's route gets released, it'll come with a bunch of new features and updates such as dynamic tinting. Character sprites are now tinted darker or more orange to reflect the time of day.



A new phone message system was coded. All texting conversations have been converted to use this new system. Characters will type messages to you and you'll see them type in real-time. They'll use emojis and even send you selfies.

A trigger warning screen before you start each route, with the option to skip. Heavy spoiler warnings are hidden behind a wall, so no worries - you won't be spoiled if you are curious to check out the regular warnings.



You can now select whether or not your MC is a virgin in the main menu. This will influence certain stories, but not all. For example, it will come up in Caine's route and influence his ending.

And of course, a bunch of new items for dressing up your avatar, which you'll get to find out for yourself.


With Caine's route completed, it's about time that the Plus DLC will become available on Steam as well. I will be working hard to add the Plus DLC for Neil and Dimitri on Steam after Caine is released. Caine's Plus DLC will not be available until James is released, so for now it remains a Patreon exclusive.

Caine's route is well on its way! His script is about 80% finished, whereas his overall route with playable chapters is at 50% currently (only Patreon users can play him at the moment). We're halfway there!

What is Caine's route like?

Well, for one thing... he's a thief! And he might eventually steal your heart ;)

I would say Caine's route is the steamiest of them all (Plus users will be able to experience some smut throughout the route), as he's just that kind of guy. People who like tsunderes, feisty redheads, and lots of blushing will enjoy his route.

I'm aiming to finish his route this year, though when his route will get released on Steam/Itch is still TBA. Patreon users have been enjoying Caine's route already :)

As for when Tailor Tales Plus will be available, it will most likely coincide with Caine's route release date.

And of course, aside from working on Caine's route, I've also added new clothing options!



Oh, and Neil's first side story has been added for Plus users! It's written in Neil's point of view in chapter 12. It shows the MC, Joselina, on the screen as a sprite. This sprite will reflect your chosen CG colours.



Either way, I'm well on my way to completing Caine's route. Stay tuned!

The new update is here, and with it, an added new feature to the game! You can now see a checklist for clients, which will tell you what is correct and incorrect about your design. This way, you no longer have to wonder why the design isn't accepting, even though it looks identical.

This also fixes a bug where, if you had selected a colour/pattern of an optional category such as a hemline, even though the hemline wasn't selected itself, then the design wouldn't accept it - despite looking identical to what the client wants. Now you can accidentally click any colour/pattern and it won't count for the design until you select an actual hemline or sleeves etc.

This will be the last update made to the game until Caine's route is completed.

Neil and Dimitri's route are fully playable.

To celebrate the release, there will be a bonus for early birds of the game.

Go to your in-game Settings > Gift > type in the password "earlybird" to receive some extra gold and tailoring experience to start you off with!

There is also a bonus preview of Caine's 1st chapter, for the curious ones. Simply go to Settings > Character > Caine > Story > Click his 1st chapter and select "reread".
