Sunday Skirmish - 4th June

Sunday Skirmish usually runs at the same time every fortnight. As always we are keen to get your feedback either in the comments here on Steam or on our discord community.

Note: This event will run on Sunday 4th June from 6:00PM UTC to 7:30PM UTC. The event time on the Steam page should be displayed in your local time.

Patch notes will be posted just before the event.

[h4]How to I do Join?[/h4]
This event will be on the latest pre-release beta of the upcoming "REINFORCED" Update on the '0.6-beta' branch.

You can change branch by right-clicking the game in your library, selecting properties, opening the betas tab and selecting 0.6-beta from the dropdown menu.

Warning: If you are switching from the public to beta branch it is a large update of 9.7GB as we have made a huge number of cumulative changes which affect the whole game.

Build 498: Patch Notes

This update introduces a major rework of the right-flank of Carpiquet village and refinements to the lake area added in the last update.

[h3]SUMMARY OF CHANGES:[/h3]
  • Fixed: Players can no longer place ‘look’ markers while spectating
  • Pegasus Bridge
    • Updated area to right-hand side of village (see image above)
    • Reduced cover between village and initial Canadian spawn
    • Improved detail of tactical map to revised areas (remaining areas to be updated over time)


[h3]KNOWN ISSUES[/h3]
  1. Cursor sometimes get stuck on screen. ALT+ENTER can fix this issue for some users.
  2. Steam overlay opens when Alt+Tab back into the game. (Workaround: Change game window mode to full screen window or windowed in Graphics settings)
  3. Cursor and icons can "ghost" over the screen after playing for some time. We are actively investigating this bug. Please let us know if it happens with as much detail as possible

Build 495: Patch Notes

In this update we release the first phase of major changes to Carpiquet which brings improved balancing, accuracy and detail to the map. We have also made backend changes to how we protect spawns, which gives us far more flexibility in level design in the future.

  • Fixed: Crash reports not being registered
  • Updated: Backend improvements to spawn protection to allow more flexible level design
  • Pegasus Bridge
    • Fixed wall potential wall hacking to all objectives following success of the last event experiment
  • Lion-sur-Mer
    • Reduced distance between attacker’s spawn and objective on phase 2 of variant 4
  • Carpiquet
    • Updated area to right-hand of Canadian spawn area (see image)
    • Increased cover at entrance to airfield

Build 493: Patch Notes

This update introduces an experimental change to increase the number of reinforcement waves on smaller servers and introduces technical changes which will allow us to improve the placement of objectives and resolve “wall hacking” issues on some of the objectives.

[h3]SUMMARY OF CHANGES:[/h3]
  • Change: Increased number of waves for both teams if there are less than 8 players
  • Fixed: Shader caching warning appearing on the Victory/Defeat screen
  • Fixed: Clipping of objective name in Raid HUD element
  • Improved: Detection of minimisation / unfocusing of game
  • Pegasus Bridge
    • Fixed wall potential wall hacking of the outside chateau stable objective
    • Reduced opportunities for camping of the gliders British Spawn
  • Merville Battery
    • Fixed terrain and floating object issues
