Build 466: Patch Notes

SUMMARY OF CHANGES:
  • Updated: Number of nearby teammates is now always visible when close to an objective
  • Updated: Changed default "ping" binding to middle mouse. Custom keybindings have had to be reset (sorry!)
  • Updated: Pegasus Bridge
    • Fixed floating geometry
    • Added additional cover to machine gun nest objective
    • Moved initial British spawn on variant 1 to provide terrain cover from spawn sniping
KNOWN ISSUES
  • Cursor sometimes get stuck on screen
  • Weapons and hands are temporarily invisible when first entering a map after a major update or install. Please be patient while the caching completes.
  • Cursor and icons can "ghost" over the screen after playing for some time. We are actively investigating this bug. Please let us know if it happens with as much detail as possible

Community Event – 16th October

Following the success of the last couple of events we have been focused on bug fixes from players feedback.

  • Fixed: Raid HUD not updating player state, waves or phase progress.
  • Fixed: Reinforcement available indicator not displaying for NCOs
  • Fixed: Map UI errors on first load after level rotation
  • Fixed: Round start not waiting for last loading player

This is the last of our Saturday night series. From next week we will be starting a new series of events "Sunday Skirmish" at the same time every fortnight.

[h2]How to I do Join?[/h2]
This event will be on the latest pre-release beta of the upcoming "REINFORCED" Update on the '0.6-beta' branch.

You can change branch by right-clicking the game in your library, selecting properties, opening the betas tab and selecting 0.6-beta from the dropdown menu.

[h3]Warning: If you are switching from the public to beta branch it is a large update of 9.7GB as we have made a huge number of cumulative changes which affect the whole game.[/h3]

  • Fixed: Pop-up map (key M) switching to spawn menu on another player’s death
  • Fixed: Spectator mode labels incorrect
  • Fixed: Attacker’s flag appearing on spectator UI
  • Fixed: Fixed missing order markers on spectator UI
  • Fixed: Fixed incorrect order markers on spectator UI
  • Improved: Round metrics for level balancing
  • Improved: Join/Spectate buttons on server browser now only active if available

Community Event – 16th October

[h2]Introduction[/h2]
Work continues on bot support but we have also made a number of bug fixes including UI fixes to the spectator UI, server browser and adjustments to Carpiquet.

With this build we have also removed the password from the 0.6-beta branch to make access to the pre-release version easier.

As a reminder - capture progress is now divided into stages, which once completed are saved even if the capturing player is killed. This is intended to improve the attackers vs. defenders balance and encourage defenders to defend objectives more closely, as attackers can can make progress without completing the capture.
