What can you expect from the current version ?

The game features around 2-4 hours of gameplay depending on your skills and willingness to explore its content.

We consider art direction as final and core game mechanics are in place.

As an Early Access version, we are aware there are both major and minor bugs in the build.

Our priority in the following days and weeks will be to make sure those bugs are ironed out and you can experience the game up to its end. As of today, the build is solid but in edge cases, blockers can be found. Also expect quite a few updates on Steam.


What we plan to improve from here?

As an Early Access version, we know things are not perfect and we already have a lot planned on our side until final release. Here is an overview of what we plan to do.

  • Add new powers
  • Tweak current powers

  • Improve arena battles (visibility, spawn, feedback)
  • Quests system

  • Fix invisible collision issues
  • Improve overall juiciness of the game
  • Improve character animations and transitions (NPCs, main character)

UI/UX
  • Many improvements to be made on menus
COMBAT
  • Integrate adaptive difficulty
  • Tweak speed, damage and behaviors of enemies

  • Make the gameplay elements on the 2D map more visible
  • Work on the level design to make paths and understanding of levels clearer
CONTENT
  • 2 more biomes each featuring their own unique environment
  • Complementary powers
  • More NPCs and villages
MUSIC/SFX
  • Add new and more variety to current SFXs

STORY
  • Initial and prologue to the story (why and how Rosalind gets in the world)

Weekly Update #42: Two days before release

Hi Fox Riders,

Last week we were at IndieCade Europe with Nanotale. We saw a lot of returning Fox Riders from Epistory and it was really nice to make them try Nanotale.







We also implemented a lot of things that we need to be ready for release. Such as the map below.



But also this enemy. It's called the heavy enemy. It's not really fast but when it's hit you it's a one shot kill.

Weekly Update #41: One week before Launch

Hi Fox Riders,

At one week from the release in early access, we are actively working on polishing and implementing the content that will be available.

Sometimes it can be just making the grass moving so the decor looks more lively.



And other times it's implementing things such as the bridge animation.

We are happy to announce the release of Nanotale in early access on the 23rd of October 2019.

Why in Early Access?


The initial plan was to release the full game in September 2019 but then, we noticed that if we really wanted to release the game we dreamed of along with our community, it would take a little bit more time. So, we decided to polish the first 35% of the game and put it in your hands to make sure that we are on the right track while finishing Nanotale.
