I hope your holiday was Impostor free and full of the most delicious of hot chocolates.

Everyone at the studio is prepping for an exciting 2024 and we can't wait to share our roadmap (A.K.A. plan) with all of you, but we have a few updates to bring you first. We can't just vent to the new goodies like an Impostor or something...

Note: You will need to restart your game to see the changes. It'll take a little longer to load than normal because of the update so don't panic!

Crewmates need all of the luck they can get, so gear up with our brand new Lunar New Year Cosmicube. Celebrate the Year of the Dragon as a dragon or rep your zodiac sign because everyone is here~ Gather your friends and family for this Cosmicube before it's gone on May 8, 2024!

You can purchase the Cosmicube for 20 Stars in the store. Once obtained, you can unlock items that correspond with each sign of the zodiac - Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, and even a Cat! (Fun fact: some countries have the Year of the Cat instead of the Rabbit.)

Our first look at the Among Us animated series is here, and while it might be a small one, at least we now know "work on the show is progressing."

Back in June, last year, it was announced that Among Us, a game with no narrative, is getting an animated series. We haven't really heard much about it since then, but earlier this week the official Among Us Twitter account shared an image from the show, and yeah, it looks like a still from an Among Us animated series! "Patient Crewmates are rewarded with a pizza party (totally safe) (not a trap)," reads the caption for the image, which shows an empty cafeteria, each table hosting a delicious pizza pie. At the back of the mess hall you can see some balloons (yay!) and a banner with a big blood splatter in the middle of it, making it so that the text on it reads "we're dead" (boooo).

There's not really much to go off of here, but it's a nice drawing at the very least? Unfortunately there aren't any Among Us beans to be found, but given the banner, it might be safe to assume they're all dead.

Hiya Crewmates!

We hope you've been enjoying the Indie Cosmicube! If you haven't picked it up yet be sure to do so and come up with an outfit that screams I REALLY LOVE INDIE GAMES!!1!!1!!

Our winter holiday is coming up and plans are forming to spend time roasting marshmallows in The Fungle. Before we go, let's look back on some highlights of 2023:

[h3]Collabs[/h3]
We had a bunch of collabs with our friends at Bungie, Pusheen, and Paramount. And of course our friends Behemoth, Untitled Goose Game, A Hat in Time, Celeste, Undertale, and Crypt of the Necrodancer as part of the Indie Cosmicube.


Are you being a task master in your favorite collab outfit? We can't spill the beans about next year but we're not ending our collaborations here so keep your visors peeled. 👀

[h3]Beans grow up so fast[/h3]
It wasn't all fancy new outfits this year (I do love a good fashion game though). Among Us grew in many new ways - like turning 5 years old and celebrating with a birthday stream!


We also said farewell to the main menu which has been the gateway to many betrayals and clip-able moments for all of you. To replace it, we said hello to our brand new menu along with improvements to Quick Chat, reporting features, and continually squishing bugs.



[h3]Fungus Among Us[/h3]
This year wouldn't have been complete without the addition of our latest map - The Fungle! You've been ziplining, fishing, pumping iron, roasting marshmallows (and Crewmates) on the fifth Among Us map. What's been your favorite part of The Fungle?



[h3]Among Us VR[/h3]
Woah, woah! Don’t forget about us beans in the VR world!


Among Us VR has had a great year of highlights: the addition of Polus Point, sweet sweet LoFi jams, improvements to matchmaking and moderation, Fidget Features, and ALL 🎉 OF 🎉 THE 🎉 HATS. 🎉

But we aren’t stopping there. We’ve got numerous surprises in our backpacks getting ready to share next year… which you can get a sneak peek of in our 2024 Roadmap!

Big thank you to our players for making this year a great one of growth, learnings, and adorable bean death! Err… teamwork. Yeah, teamwork! 👀

[h3]Nap Time[/h3]
It's been a really fun year of tasks, bug squishing, collabing, and map releasing, but now it's time for all of us at the studio to take a little winter holiday so we'll be ready for more shenanigans in 2024!


Thanks for being the best Crewmates around for 2023 and we'll see you next year.
