[h2]Today marks a special milestone for us as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of Tower of Time on Steam.[/h2]

It's hard to believe that it's already been five years since we released the game, but what a journey it has been! We're incredibly grateful for the support that you have shown us throughout the years.

When we set out to create Tower of Time, we wanted to craft an RPG that was different from anything else out there. We wanted to make sure that the story wouldn't let you go, and the combat would be challenging enough to inspire your tactical creativity. Time has proven that we've probably been able to deliver on that promise, as so many new players continue to rediscover Tower of Time five years after the game's release.

Tower of Time was our first game, and your overwhelmingly positive feedback has encouraged us to work on our second game, Dark Envoy, which will be released later this year. Without you, we'd never have gotten this far. Thanks for playing Tower of Time and for believing in us with Dark Envoy 💖

Dark Envoy features a 'drop-in / drop-out anytime' online cooperative story mode. Although we are focusing on the single-player experience in the Steam Next Fest demo, you're also welcome to try out the early beta version of the online co-op mode and play with a friend.

[h2]How to invite a friend to join your game? [/h2]

As a host, you have full control over the game and your friend will be a guest, sharing your story progress, characters, and inventory with you.

While in the game, use ESC to enter the pause menu. Select Multiplayer and click Start Session. After a few seconds, a unique invitation code will appear. Copy this code and send it to your friend. To join the session, your friend must be in the main menu of the game. They must select Join Game and paste the code into the pop-up window. If the session creation / join fails, please try again.

[h2]Controlling the play[/h2]

Once your friend joins your game, they are automatically assigned a unit from your party to control. They can manage that unit's inventory, abilities, and attributes. They can enchant items, trade, and craft new items. The inventory, however, is shared. You can decide which units the guest player controls in the multiplayer menu. Just drag the unit icon to a player in the list to assign the unit to a player.

Today we would like to share with you a list of recent improvements to the Dark Envoy Demo. Our goal is to bring Dark Envoy as close to your expectations as possible, and we rely on your feedback to do that:

Patch notes #2023-02-07:

• Audio effects for clones are now disabled.
  
• You can no longer save the game (or perform other actions) while rebinding keys.
  
• Skill cooldowns are displayed rounded to one decimal place.
  
• Difficulty settings are now correctly applied to enemies that spawn as waves.
  
• "AvarageDPS" - > "AverageDPS" typo in the battle summary fixed.
  
• Fixed an issue with the lighting of hair textures.
  
• Fixed an issue with some body textures.
  
• Fixed multiple game-breaking issues that could have resulted in:
  (1) units not being able to move, attack or execute other commands;
  (2) game freezes when switching to tactical mode and back again;
  (3) the selection rectangle not disappearing;
  (4) enemy units standing still.
  
• Fixed an issue where player characters would sometimes freeze after a cutscene.
  
• As a temporary fix, resolution settings are now ordered from the highest.
  
• Co-op – fixed the whole party being assigned to the guest player after loading a save and breaking the multiplayer menu unit assignment for host.
  

The previous version of the demo will be still available in case you experience any issues.
