Dev blog – The Mines #2

Over the last month we have continued to develop the mines and added some new features and improvements. Here are some new things to come:
Liquid storages
There will be liquid storages, such as barrels or makeshift sinks, where you can store liquids. It's also possible to take a shower in any liquid you want, such as beer, mushroom water or sulfuric acid!

This means that the early tenement upgrades with makeshift-tier tanks and barrels now have a limited supply of water. But don't worry, when you ran out, you can ask Ol' Malone to refill the storages for you.

Also, as Obenseuer is a place known for its nonpotable tap water, O-Market has stocked itself with large 10L canisters of fresh spring water.
Drawing board
With the drawing board, you can draw blueprints, instead of relying on blueprints scattered around the district. You can get started with just some paper and duct tape, but for more complex furniture blueprints you'll need more advanced stuff, such as a math/tables book.
Other upcoming additions
We have also added other content such as:
 • Balanced output quality of self-made alcohols and farming. Now some easier early game (sugar, turnip) mashes doesn't automatically turn out crap, having less value than the ingredients.
 • Rent payment interval options
 • New furniture such as ore crusher, plastic barrel shower, makeshift IBC sink and pillows
 • New items such as rat trap, spring water and 10L water bottle

And here are a few more pictures of the upcoming content:

Dev blog – The Mines #1

In the last few months we have been solely working on a major upcoming district zone, The Mines.
As per tradition, our devblogs don't tend to be long posts, so let's get straight into it.
Upcoming areas

Mines
The Mines are a large zone with a maze of tunnels, buried secrets and new services for convenience.
Among with rocks and, umm, more rocks, the mines comes with a narrow-gauge railway network, you can use to traverse the tunnels and shunting carriages full of ore you have mined. The mines will also provide with new opportunities of tenement upgrades.
Tenement A
Tenement A, a large habitation block near the market area, provides a new, and less depressing, job opportunity. The block also hosts, or well, used to host a hospital dedicated at helping the victims of the fungal disease.
Open Sewer Metro
The 'Open Sewer Metro', a local network of smuggling tunnels of an unknown original purpose will serve as a metro system connecting districts of Obenseuer.
Other new locations
A few smaller new task-related locations are coming, like Bank of Bazaar where you can rob the bank vault.
New animals
Chicken coops can be installed in tenement to provide with an income of chicken meat, feathers and eggs. Oh, you can also breed cats.

Your cat has also passed the inspection of the administration, and will be delivered to you.
Newspapers and magazines
O-Market sells daily newspapers from the outside world. You can read newspapers to pass time and gain a small mental health boost from reading the news.

Daily lifehack magazine will also arrive in an item form, what can be read at your leisure to gain invaluable knowledge of crafting recipes.
It is now also possible to subscribe to the Open Sewer magazine, which will also provide recipes and small amount of random skill per volume.
Other upcoming additions
• New crafting stations, such as electronics and sewing station.
 • New furniture such as editable signs, cages, rugs and a head lantern
 • New items such as ores, Bobby and vanilla ice cream
 • New recipes
 • Several bug fixes and other additions
