Hello @everyone WarDust got an update!

changelog (seems small, but it was a big job) :

-Reworked footstep audio system (not finished yet)

Footstep sounds will change based on different surfaces:
"Water"
- "wood"
- "dirt"
- "concrete" (generic sound, kind of universal)
- "sand" (can be used also for snow)
- "metal"
and last one is Default if no other surface is detected.

-Couple small fixes here and there

- For those that like to help us catch the bugs. Now it’s possible to add a description of the issue when submitting a bug report with a space bar. Just use your keyboard and click the submit button. Thank you in advance!!

- Now it’s also possible to damage vehicles with standard guns. Each vehicle have different damage factor (to be tweaked in the future)

-Skin vehicles will have basic marks on the body depending on actual damage.

-Added skid marks

-Added bHaptics native support (not finished yet) :
Frag explosion head vest
Guns shoot both hands (some issue on pistols)
Grabbing mags, weapons etc.
Stingers, RPGs
Explosions
Driving on vehicles
Steering vehicles
Parachute and couple more
(opened for any suggestions for tweaking it! If you see missing feedbacks, please let us know, cause there will be some definitely)

- Buffed pistols, increased recoil and added second hold

- Increased jet projectile explosion spread and power against infantry

- Some small physics changes plus added nitro boost to vehicles (when accelerating, just press second trigger once)

-Scoreboard will show who is on hardcore mode (skull) also hardcore players will earn 50% more score and xp

- Scoreboard will also show what class player currently is (A-assault, M-medic(support), S-scout, E- engineer)

- Temporary workaround for “map loop” bug. If detected, it should end game and load another map (not tested)

- Performance improvements in rendering of characters

- increased walking/running speed when holding weapon higher

Great News! There are now 2 new Custom Maps Events every weekend! A full 6 hrs of community-led War Dust Events take place every weekend (Saturdays 3 hrs. and Sundays 3 hrs.)!

Schedule:

Every Saturday:

Warm-Up on Official Rotation: 2 PM EST (8 PM CET, 7 PM BST)
Saturday Main Event on Official Rotation: 3 PM EST (9PM CET, 8 PM BST)
Custom Maps Event: about 4 PM EST (10 PM CET, 9 PM BST)

Every Sunday:

Warm-Up on Official Rotation: 2 PM EST (8 PM CET, 7 PM BST)
Sunday Main Event on Official Rotation: 3 PM EST (9PM CET, 8 PM BST) Photos taken after.
Custom Maps Event: After end of photoshoot, about 4 PM EST (10 PM CET, 9 PM BST)

To play Custom Maps just click on the open server with the most players to the left of the main menu. The mod will download, and you may need to restart War Dust once download is complete. Once you have downloaded a map it will always be instantly available when playing custom servers.

Anytime is a great time to play War Dust, and these special times are even more intense and exciting than ever as we flood the servers for massive battles filled with real players and all the chaotic glory that is War Dust at its best!

New War Dust is now streaming LIVE on our Steam Store Page and other Steam locations during most weekend events and rebroadcasting gameplay video on weekdays.
