Today, it's finally time for us to reveal the last character hiding in the shadows of Mr. X Nightmare DLC. This shadow is none other than a charismatic Kenpō master, whose time has come to repent. Ready to leave the Syndicate for good, Axel Stone's former rival is now determined to make a difference in Mr. X Nightmare.

Shiva joins forces with Estel and Max!

After being Mr. X's personal bodyguard and one of the most powerful members of the Syndicate, it's time for Shiva to find his way to redemption. This emblematic character of Streets of Rage joins the crew of Axel Stone, whose values are much closer to his faith. In Mr. X Nightmare, Shiva will use his fists, along with his new friends, to face the threat looming over Wood Oak City.


So, who will be your first ally in Mr. X Nightmare DLC? Shiva, Estel or Max?

Today is Streets of Rage 4's first anniversary! We want to celebrate this special day with this Community Spotlight!

Streets of Rage 4 is a teamwork effort between Lizardcube, Guard Crush Games, Dotemu, the all-star line-up of composers, Sound designers, QA, Localization, PR, OST Producers, OST coordinators, and many other teams. We launched the game one year ago, we heard and took encouragements, your happiness but also your disappointments, critics, and feedback into account to shape the Streets of Rage 4 game and experience you deserved.

We are thankful to every single person (from the teams mentioned above and the community) who contributed to this amazing SOR4 journey since day one.

The game is nothing without its wonderful community of players, artists, musicians, speedrunners, creators, etc. Your support means the world to us and keeps motivating us to give the best of ourselves in the project and also in the upcoming DLC (Mr.X Nightmare).

Many of you wanted a release date today but as you know, we’d rather take our time to do things right than giving a release date and realize that we cannot honor our commitments. We believe that rushing things wouldn’t bring any satisfaction but would rather lead to frustration and disillusionment.

We’ve got many surprises in store for you with “Mr. X Nightmare” DLC: a new character reveal, gameplay videos to showcase the new characters movesets and modes (Survival and Training), and much more. We can’t wait to reveal all these things in the weeks ahead.

Today, we are thrilled to announce that a beloved fighter is about to make his comeback to the Streets of Rage. Coming from Wood Oak City and fighting out of the blue corner, this skilled, faithful and powerful former wrestler can't possibly let his friends fight alone anymore.

That’s right guys, Max Thunder is joining the fight!

After being mind-controlled by the Y twins, Max Thunder is ready to fight back in Mr. X Nightmare. Known for his great friendship and loyalty to Axel Stone, Max can no longer remain on the sidelines. It is time for him to come to the rescue of his fellow friends by using his own unique and powerful moves. Now that Max has come to the rescue.... What about you, are you ready to fight alongside him?
