Operencia: The Stolen Sun News

It has been a great time for Operencia since it arrived on Steam, however, the surprises are far from over in our dungeon-crawler! In the game, we created a universe inspired by Central European folktales and mythology with such amazing places as the Copper Forest or the Fairy Castle. As the VR update will soon arrive you can save Operencia from its vicious enemies all over again in (almost) real action!

Speaking of enemies, soon new demonic creatures will appear on the horizon, so get prepared, as you will need all your tricks and wiles to beat them!



The first challenge will be the Zöldek warriors. They were faithful soldiers of King Brek, but when his castle sank beneath the waters of the Lake of Anna, they became a victim of a terrible curse that made them frog like humanoids. Their human side stayed in the past and most of them are amphibian beasts, however, it doesn’t mean that they don’t provide an excellent defense to the sunken castle. Their strength is in their numbers, a group of Zöldek can easily make your day hard with their rusty maces, so we highly recommend you come prepared!

Hello Adventurers!

As you may know, Operencia draws a lot from Dungeons & Dragons and our development team are frequent campaigners.

This gave us the idea of creating some Operencia themed character cards to use while playing. Our battlemaster Babar teamed up with Corvus, one of our veteran 2D artists to create these for the Operencia team.

To spread the love we decided to share these with you so you have something pretty to print out for the next online play session.

If anyone in your playable Operencia battle party can be described as a “super star,” it’s Csilla -- and quite literally! As your scoundrel of a traveling companion Jóska explains in his journal...

Csilla…a star from the heavens, but in human form. Sent from a táltos to aid the quest of his former student Kampó. This is not the kind of claim I’d normally take seriously. Yet it’s also one of the most normal things I’ve heard over the past few days.

I had my doubts about Csilla’s story until [REDACTED -- SPOILER!]. There’s no doubt about it—that was starlight she emitted from her body to [REDACTED -- ANOTHER SPOILER!]. Even with my eyes closed, it nearly blinded me.



She seems rather soft spoken and sometimes as though her head is in the clouds. Actually, it’s typically higher than that, isn’t it? So I guess that makes sense.

I’ve tried relaying tales of my own past to Csilla, and she’s often cut me off with the next thing I was going to say before I actually stated it. She’s also called me out when I’ve…stretched the truth a little bit. I’ve often gazed at the night sky in wonder of the countless stars before me. And now I know they’re looking back.

Csilla is only one of many companions you’ll meet on your travels.
