Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary #56

Hello Truck Mechanics!

Brand new Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths development diary number 56 is here. What's new? A couple of things.

Recent weeks have been under the sign of optimization. With big changes to the prologue map, we decided to clean it up a bit and make some needed tweaks to increase the frame rate.

Work is progressing, the garage, which is a kind of hub, and a place to manage your truck, is practically finished. It will not contain everything in the prologue, so that you can discover all its secrets in the full version.

As there have been some significant changes to the game mechanics, we are adding new interface elements and updating old ones.

And that's not the end of the good news - we have once again slightly rebuilt the prologue map, adding more terrain obstacles for you to overcome. Get ready for a challenge!

Once again, we strongly encourage you to sign up for our upcoming Playtests and help us create the best truck mechanics and driving in a difficult terrain experience. Sign-ups are still open.

Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary #54

Hello Truck Mechanics!

We are back with some new information, about Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths in our first Dev Diary #54 in 2022.

We welcome 2022 with some new info about the changes we have made to the prologue map, which we wrote about last time. The map evolved - It looks much better, the ride is more exciting, it is more varied in terrain.

Recently there have been some questions about controller support, as we mentioned some time ago - we are constantly trying to add support for more devices, there are quite a few on the market, but we are doing what we can do to include as many as we can in Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths.

So once again, we strongly encourage you to sign up for our upcoming Playtests and help us create the best truck mechanics and driving in a difficult terrain experience. Sign-ups are still open.

Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary #53

Hello Truck Mechanics!

We are back with some new information, about Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths in our next Dev Diary #53. Time to recap what has happened in recent weeks and what will happen in 2022.

As you may have noticed, we have made quite a few changes to the bodywork of our truck, all in order to give it more character and to better reflect the original on which it was based.

In addition to the truck, we are making quite a few changes to the map of our Prologue. After a few tests in the team, we came to the conclusion that a few elements stand out and need to be rebuilt. All this to make the gameplay more enjoyable for you. Work is progressing quite smoothly, the result at the moment has exceeded our expectations.
Plans for 2022
We want to start by thanking you for actively commenting, sharing your opinions and ideas in 2021, and we are sure that 2022 will bring plenty of challenges and even more hard work. Our current priority is to launch Steam Playtests and releasing the Prologue itself.

So once again, we strongly encourage you to sign up for our upcoming Playtests and help us create the best truck mechanics and driving in a difficult terrain experience. At the beginning of the year we should start a Discord where we can all discuss the project together and share behind-the-scenes material with you.

Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary #52

Hello Truck Mechanics!

We are back with some new information, about Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths in our next Dev Diary #52. We have a few things we would like to share with you.

Most importantly, we've refined the menus once again - just trying to strike a balance. Each build, they look and work much better. AZERTY layout was on our minds for a while, and we added full support to the game, we have also made a FOV slider and some tweaks to the keybinding menus. We're experimenting with options for colorblind gamers.

In recent weeks, we have focused on improving various objects on the map. We add some details, eliminate bugs, flying objects - we do everything to make the immersion level as high as possible.
We are also working hard on the release of the prologue, recently we have been very intensively testing and analyzing the content that will appear in it, making the necessary improvements.

So once again, we strongly encourage you to sign up for our upcoming Playtests and help us create the best truck mechanics and driving in a difficult terrain experience.
