Hello, Truck Mechanics!


We are very happy to welcome you to the next Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary. In which we discuss the progress of our work on the game from the past weeks.

The detail is an important part of our game, which will make you want to play with the engine for a long time.



We are currently planning to introduce two modes to the game. Driver mode and Mechanic mode. Both will be significantly different and as you can probably guess. You will have to switch between them to complete your tasks. We do not want to mix everything up unnecessarily.

By the way, we also want to tell you that our composer is working on new music! We want you to feel the atmosphere of the places you are going to be riding in. The music is composed to complement the rest of the game. We want to give it a unique vibe and ambient. It is supposed to help you to feel the role of a driver and mechanic.

Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary #15 - HUD

Hello, Truck Mechanics!


We are very happy to welcome you to the next Truck Mechanic: Dangerous Paths Dev Diary. In which we discuss the progress of our work on the game from the past weeks. We want to talk about HUD.



The HUD (Head-Up-Display) as you know, is the method by which information is visually relayed to the player as part of the game’s user interface. While designing the HUD, we definitely wanted to keep a few things in mind, and the debate was constantly form vs function. We didn’t want it to overpower the screen and become a distraction, it should enhance the gameplay, not hinder it.



Keep in mind that this is still WIP, and as such will constantly change. Things will be added, moved, and removed. Until we're sure that HUD configuration meets our criteria.
