Update 2025.04.06.0

Hellish Quart pre-alpha v.2025.04.06.0

NEW:
- You can now set the quality of the water shader to "Simple Water" in Options. This might add a few more FPS on "water levels" (1%-5% more - but this might be the difference between 55-57 and a stable 60 fps on low-spec machines, for example)

TWEAK:
- River, Siedliska: Used a faster terrain shader

Hotfix 2025.04.04.1

Hellish Quart pre-alpha v.2025.04.04.0

FIX:
- Fixed a bug where the game would freeze when trying to load the Highlands Ruined Castle arena in Arcade, Survival, or History Buff mode
- Samuel, Samuel Boss: fixed regression: a bug where using Long Guard + A would break the input

New Fencer: Connor

Meet Connor, our new Scottish Highlander straight from the 17th century.

Armed with a basket-hilted broadsword and a targe, he’s deadly on offense and nearly unbreakable on defense. Clash steel in a brand-new arena set among the dramatic Scottish cliffs.

This update also brings two fresh music tracks inspired by Scottish folklore, pulling you deeper into the Highland atmosphere. Connor’s fighting style is bold, complex, and relentless — a true test of your skill. Ready to master the Highland way of the sword? Jump in and give Connor a spin!

Update 2025.03.03.0

Hellish Quart pre-alpha v.2025.03.03.0

FIX:
- Father Zera, Isabella: fixed regression, where the attack range animation blending did not work
- Marta: fixed regression: Cloth not turning on in the final build
- Jan: attack animation variables - paying off some technical debt

TWEAK:
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: you can turn it on or off in the Weapon Type menu and the Story Mode menu now too, as well as in Gameplay Options
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: added a "clock" sound cue and a little exclamation mark UI icon, to make it more obvious that the time slows down on purpose, to show the incoming hit or miss better, and not because your PC can't handle the framerate
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: turns back to normal time right after the active frames of the attack finish, instead of a pre-set amount of time (the obsolete option to set slo-mo time is gone from Options too)
- Sim-attack slo-mo feature: has a 5 second cooldown, to prevent it from happening all the time, if both fencers choose to attack simultaneously all the time
