Dear Companions!

As we gear up for the launch on December 19th, the preview build of Glorious Companions is making its way to the media. With this milestone, we wanted to take a moment to share an update on what’s new and exciting in the game since Early Access. We also want to thank you for being a part of this journey with a proper gift!

What’s New Since Early Access?

• Steamdeck and gamepad support
  
• A completely reworked world map featuring 9 unique regions with distinctive layouts, including Lowlands, Swamps, Desert, Tundra, and more!
  
• Nearly ten times more battle map variants + map with an option of adding markers
  
• New city buildings for units training or healing, and new armor sets.
  
• Five challenging dungeons with unique battle maps, enemies, and bosses
  
• New neutral units, who now use abilities against the player
  
• Two campaigns (Valrenay and Scarres) centered around the looming threat of awakening enormous statues.
  
• Over 60 side quests available in towns and facilities scattered across the map. And a Journal with quest entries and tutorials.
  
• Spectator mode added to the multiplayer arena mode
  
• A complete visual overhaul and reworked UI
  

+ Things we will implement with the Day1 Patch: voiceovers for dungeon bosses, an updated 2D map, crafting and enchanting systems, large side quests, Steam achievements, and campaign outros.

As Glorious Companions is not only the single player story-filled campaign, we wanted to showcase some of its multiplayer mode aspects. We're hosting the Glorious Tournament—a thrilling showdown featuring some of the most talented content creators in the turn-based RPG scene. Watch as they compete in 1V1 arena battles in a Best of 3 format!

📅 When: Wednesday, December 11th
⏰ Time: 6 PM CET (9 AM PT)
📺 Where: Tune in live on the Ancient Forge Twitch channel and participating streamers’ channels. + GIVEAWAY

Round 1 Matchups: ShuffleFM vs. DasTactic Turn-Based Lovers vs. Pingvinharcos Streamek Gerier vs. BestMarmotte STLK vs. Zach Ponch

The top four competitors will advance to the semi-finals, where they’ll face off to determine the top two finalists. Best of the best!

The Champion’s Rewards:

You noticed that the loading time is too long, and we managed to improve the loading time and quality of life with a small hotfix uploaded yesterday.

Hotfix 24.10.2024

- Improved loading time up to 20%
- improved optimization for lower specification hardware configuration
- Improved balance for the first fight with eliminating chance to spawn a high level warg in the enemy ranks
