CONNECTED 2021 Tetris Effect World Championship Tournament Update

[h3]TE:C COMMUNITY SEASONAL TOURNAMENT STARTS! FINALS ON CTWC CHANNELS![/h3]

With nearly 400 competitors divided into five categories and a staggering thirty-one brackets, the TE:C Seasonal Fall Tournament has now officially begun!

Players will now be tasked with contacting their opponents and arranging matches, which must either be streamed live or observed by one of our Referees. We’ve assembled a great team of trusted Refs who are eager to help out!

But what’s more, we’re proud to announce an amazing partnership with Enhance and CTWC that will take this TE:C tournament to the next level.

The concluding brackets of three categories will determine the final competitors of the inaugural CONNECTED Tetris Effect World Championship annual tournaments. Matches of Classic Score Attack (top 8), Zone Battle (top 8), and Triathlon (top 4) will be shown on the ClassicTetris Twitch channel as part of the 2021 Classic Tetris World Championship in November—the biggest Tetris competition in the world. And the action will be commentated by the man who brought the Boom back into Tetris himself: Chris Tang!

Classic Score Attack

Best of 5 / First to 3.
Start at the level that the selector is allowed to start in ranked matches.
If both players agree, the maximum starting level is 18.
Higher seed chooses the starting level first, then alternates with the lower seed.
Default room settings for NTSC / Change NTSC to PAL for PAL brackets.

Triathlon

Best of 3 modes.
For Score Attack and Classic Score Attack, it’s best of 3 / first to 2.
For Zone Battle, it’s best of 5 / first to 3.
Higher seed chooses the mode first, then alternates with the lower seed.
Lower seed chooses the level first in Classic Score Attack and Score Attack, then alternate with the higher seed.
Start at the level that the selector is allowed to start in ranked matches.
