Patch 11.0.8

A regular update that fixes different bugs and mistakes. Many bugs and mistakes were fixed thanks to the community reports. Although we rarely can personally reply to every single report, we still see them and act accordingly.

Some reported errors were not technical issues, but rather misunderstandings of the game mechanics, so we added some additional explanation texts.

We also managed to find a source of missing achievement problems. It's caused by the in-game method of achievement checking. Since there are 100 achievements, the process takes time, and depending on the hardware can be inefficient. We'll rewrite this method in the v12 version.

If you wish to contribute to fixing issues, please make sure you mark "auto send errors" in the "game menu > settings", and report any encountered issues through "game menu -> report error".

August Update

Development news.

Over the past month, we have been rebuilding the project. Rebuilding, or refactoring, has long been needed. Since the first release back in 2015, we've been adding more and more functions, that were not originally planned. Let's take at least the size of the database - in the very first version there were about 200 events with simple conditions, and now there are several thousand of them with complex, cross-trigger conditions. All this impacted stability and performance, plus it was bad for a true multiplayer online game. Wo what's the plan now?

1. Test the rebuild on iOS/Android. Technically, the game has changed a lot from the inside, but it should be more stable than previous versions. Hopefully, the test won't take long.

2. Add a series of features that did not make it to the 11th version: endgame scoreboard, more players, stock companies, and chitcoin bankruptcy (hey you cryptopunks!)

3. Content not included in the 11th version. Quests for real estate - affect the gameplay. New expenses - do not affect the game, but make the game a bit funnier for those who have memorized all the texts already.

4. The unjustified war crippled our income so unfortunately, we don't have the resources to hire professional translators, as was planned for 2022. So I guess we'll go with a crowdsourced translation solution somewhere here. The game has tons of texts, I guess it'll take a while.

5. Transfer the entire database from the game to the server to make updates easier.

6. Finally start making true online multiplayer (yaaay!). Given 1 and 4, it will be much easier.

7. Content editor. Most likely it will not be done beautifully with a GUI, but as a database that can be edited manually. Still an option to make your own content, right?

Hotfix for 11.0 version

The patch fixes new DLCs usage (skins and map), removes an abundant log error tracker and fixes several smaller issues.

We've remade a bugreport system to make it more efficient. It's automatic now and activated by default (can be turned off in game menu). If you encounter any bugs, please click menu - report error, so we'll get your log and savegame to fix it real soon. You can also leave bugreports in our forum.

What'll be new in Timeflow v11?

The 11th version has been published some time ago on Android and iOS. With the help of our players, we polished it and fixed it, and it'll be released to Steam in a few days. Here you can see what to expect from the new version.

1. Multiple choice
- You can choose from different assets
- Choose whom to hire, insurance, sports, car, etc.
- TM-skill "Information" increases the number of options to choose from.

2. Work and career
- You can look for a job yourself on the green cell "Opportunity" (auto job search is disabled)
- Added part-time job (without career growth)
- Career now has 6 tiers instead of 4
- Work experience required for promotion
- Increased the minimum period between work events after obtaining a new position
- New acquaintance for promotion - a fellow HR manager
- All promotion requirements are no longer universal but are tied to career paths
- Advanced training increases salary in only one career path

3. Economic Sectors
- All assets, shares, and work are now tied to different Economic Sectors
- Sectors can rise and fall (1 change per year)
- Different sectors have different up and down ranges
- Growth and fall of sectors are reflected differently in different types of assets
- Different sectors behave differently in a crisis

4. New business events
- Each business has 2 new "quests."
- For each quest, there are 2-3 solutions
- Each solution has 2 random consequences
- Total 88 situations, 216 solutions, 429 consequences
- You can give each business a unique name
- Now business and real estate can go below zero and cause permanent losses instead of profits

5. Difficulty levels, victory conditions, game length
- With increasing age, the character receives fewer events per year (the length of the movement increases).
- Each difficulty level now has its own requirements for victory
- The easier the level, the easier the requirements, and the easier it is to win
- The "Savings" requirement to win now subtracts the player's loans
- After winning, you can increase the difficulty level and continue the game
- You can continue the game the same way in retirement (but you won't be able to win)
- Each dream has three levels of achievement for three levels of difficulty
- An already purchased dream can pop up again and increase the character's mood
- Reduced player's spendings (routines) for easy and medium difficulty

6. Stock market interface
- Two new stocks ("Beta, Inc", and "Wholefoots")
- You can choose 1 of 3 shopping options
- If you complete the training, a professional stock market interface becomes available
- Margin requirements are changing to increase the max possible trading loan (leverage)
- The change in the price of purchased shares is visible above the balance sheet without entering the exchange

7. Assets sale
- You can resell purchased assets between players, in the same way as non-purchased opportunities


8. Interface
- All notifications of the same type are combined into one
- All balance points can be clicked for hints
- Increased font size for smartphones
- Increased the size of the avatar on the field
- Increased the size of pictures in cards
- The map on the left has been moved so that the avatar always fits on the field
- Fixed camera behavior
- Game hints on/off mode

9. Cloud saves
- You can store saves in the cloud
- Authorization via Google
- You can start on your smartphone and continue on your computer and vice versa

10. New graphics
- Idle animation of all avatars
- New map, available to everyone by default
- The old map is available as an in-app purchase
- New balance skins available as an in-app purchase

11. Donations
- You can become a subscriber or give a one-time donation to support the development
- Donations do not affect the game, but they can be displayed in the interface (optional)
