Below is the list of changes applied today, December 19, 2024:

Patch Notes 1.7.1.0 all platforms

Minor Change

- Added Juggernaut to the automatic skill options.

Bug Fixes

- Fixed an issue where players were displayed as prone when attempting to pick up the ball after standing up.
- Fixed a bug causing issues with Leap, Pogo Stick, and Jump Over actions in certain situations.
- Fixed AI teams softlockling on Chainsaw use
- Fixed rare crashes that could occur when playing against AI.
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when returning to the main menu after completing a match.
- Fixed Long Pass and Long Bomb passing zones being displayed despite being blocked by the Necromantic Horror pitch rule.
- Fixed Shambling Undead AI team names appearing as debug strings in competitions in offline mode.
- Fixed an issue preventing players from being fired from an experienced team in offline mode.
- Fixed an issue preventing team templates from being saved in offline mode.
- Fixed a visual bug where oversized white dice sometimes appeared on-screen during rolls.
- Fixed block dice using the opponent’s dice color.
- Fixed a navigation issue with controllers on the Home page when browsing news.
- Fixed long skill names overlapping the text box on the player management page.
- Fixed the player title shifting to the left when switching between tabs using a controller.

Additional bug Fixes 🎄 🎁

- A rooted Treeman can't activate wrestle
- A rooted Treeman can't activate diving tackle
- A player with unchannelled fury or animal savagery may be able to benefit from the +2 bonus to block and blitz when simply standing up
- During a blitz KoE, pushing an opponent next to own open player allows for an illegal block
- Dribl and Drull give a bonus to the armor roll instead of the injury roll as they should

[h3]Eternal League[/h3]

While we aimed for a global release of this highly anticipated single-player mode for Season 7, we are not fully satisfied with its current state, and as such, have decided to pospone it.

We believe that one more season in the oven will allow this mode to reach the level of quality and replayability it deserves. For this period, feedback will be crucial, and will come in 2 main ways:

  • For the Season 7 launch, we've made a number of adjustments to the AI. We'll monitor its new behavior during the season, as well as focus on any precise bug/feedback report on discord.
  • During the season, we'll conduct a close beta of the Eternal League mode. In the coming days, we'll share an application form through which players will have the opportunity to register for this beta and contribute, with their feedback, to make the Eternal League the mode solo coaches are waiting for.


With this plan, we hope to meet player expectations and release a bigger and better Eternal League for Season 8!


[h3]What Is the Eternal League?[/h3]

The Eternal League is a dynamic single-player game mode where you compete in endless tournaments and leagues against AI-controlled teams. It's perfect for players who enjoy long-term team management and strategizing across multiple seasons.

  • Endless Seasons: As the name suggests, there’s no fixed endpoint—you can keep playing indefinitely.
  • Team Progression: Grow your team over time as players gain experience, skills, and even injuries, adding layers of depth to your strategy.
  • Diverse Tournaments: Each season introduces uniquely themed tournaments with their own rules, challenges, and rewards.

Blood Bowl 3 | Season 7: Patch Note



Hi Coaches,

The new season kicks off on Tuesday, December 10th, at 6 PM ET! Here's the list of what awaits you when the servers go live.

[h3]New Features[/h3]

  • Norse Team: Now available for play.
  • Norsca Arena: A new seasonal game mode with related quests accessible in the Manager's quest menu.
  • Star Players: Introducing the Swift brothers and the Dribl & Drull duo.
  • Team Queueing: Queue multiple teams simultaneously in all ladder competitions and the Norsca Arena.
  • Pitch Special Rules: Now available (toggleable via admin tools). Elven Union and Halfling pitch rules will be added later.
  • Custom Team Inducements: Inducements and Star Players can now be added directly in the Team Manager menu.
  • Inducement Browsing: View available inducements and Star Players during team creation via the "Details" button.
  • Match Modifiers Menu: View both team rosters during matches by pressing "K" on the keyboard.
  • Manager Titles: Customize your Manager title, visible under your name. Toggle gendered title formats in Game Options
  • Manager Progression: Levels extended to 150, with new free rewards.
  • Team Templates: Save team customizations (colors, patterns, logos, cheerleaders, etc.) and formations.
  • Iron Hard Skin Update: Now errata-compliant: "Opposing players cannot modify any Armour rolls made against this player. The Claws skill cannot be used against this player."
  • Win Rate Statistics: A draw now counts as half a win.
  • Shared Customizations: Many player customizations are now shared across positions and factions.
  • Choice of alignement at team creation added for Norse, Chaos Chosen and Chaos Renegades, with a preview of the inducements allowed by each alignement.


[h3]Ladder[/h3]

  • TV Cap: Modified cap set at 1750.
  • Random primaries will increase your tv by the normal amount and won't be halved
  • For this season, the following Star Players are banned from the official ladder : Bomber Dribblesnot, Cindy Piewhistle.
  • A "Sprint ranking" is now monitored and will be accessible outside the game (details to be shared later). This ranking is a snapshot of teams performances at the end of their 20th match.


[h3]Minor Changes[/h3]

  • Added an "Other" filter for emblems.
  • Competition admins can now enforce specific pitches for all matches in their competition.
  • Journeymen now appear during presentation and end-game cinematics.
  • Frame items will display with your currently equipped avatar.
  • Match presentation screen now shows both teams' factions and TV before inducements.
  • Solid Defense can now be skipped or validated using the skip button.
  • Dice log entries:
  • For when "Argue the Call" is impossible due to a natural 1.
  • When both teams recruit the same Star Player.
  • Leap/Jump Simplification: Directly select your target to leap or jump.
  • Mouse cursor no longer moves when rotating the camera or choosing dice in directional mode.
  • Added a game option to display cumulative probabilities.
  • Star icon now visible under Star Players.
  • Enhanced AI behavior for better gameplay experience.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]

  • Fixed players being propelled far away after injuring themselves with a fumbling bombardier throw.
  • Resolved bomb disappearance issues after rolling a natural one.
  • Corrected quest text overflow in certain languages.
  • Fixed effects like "Rooted" or "Confused" not showing in the dice log.
  • Addressed stretched banners in certain screen resolutions.
  • Resolved ball disappearance issues during multiple catch attempts in one action.
  • Fixed mercenaries bypassing Big Guy limits for certain teams.
  • Resolved tutorial softlocks caused by disabling automatic skill use.
  • Fixed missing skill indicators above players' heads when earned mid-game (e.g., through a Prayer to Nuffle).
  • Corrected inverted team names in sudden death pop-ups.
  • Fixed animation issues with Madcap Miggz’s special rule.
  • Resolved display errors in the Match Modifier pop-up when both teams gained a Prayer to Nuffle.
  • Improved dice display timing for dodge and rush rolls.
  • Fixed Warpstone purchase screen redirection issues.
  • Corrected "Unchannelled Fury" +2 modifier error.
  • Resolved probability display issues for Cindy’s second bomb throw.
  • Fixed "Quick Snap" player counter exceeding the limit.
  • Addressed a softlock with Cindy catching a bomb without using her special rule.
  • Fixed Tackle automatically activating for players with Ball and Chain.
  • Corrected missing Stunty modifier for interceptions.
  • Resolved activation issues with Hakflem Shuttlespike’s special rule against opponents.
  • Fixed Foul Appearance not activating during multiple block actions.
