August 2024 Update: Performance improvements

August 2024 update brings performance improvements in screen and mouse pointer capturing, and also recording performance on Windows 11. Additionally, audio capturing quality is improved in this update.

July 2024 update: Audio meter and UI Improvements

July 2024 update adds audio meter to view audio levels for both input and output audio. This feature makes it easier to make sure if the app is capturing audio from the selected devices by checking the levels on the audio meter. Minor user interface improvements are also applied in this update.

April 2024 update: New media processing engine, audio and watermark options

April 2024 update brings a new media processing engine which improves recording performance. New audio and watermark options are also available in the update.

You can now change volume from the app for both system audio and the microphone. It can increase by up to 200% in case you need the sound to be louder for your recordings.

An option is also added to turn off surround sound in order to get maximum volume (as you hear) for system audio in case you use a virtual surround headphone.

Watermark overlay gets more customization options in the update as you can now change text alignment and outline thickness for the watermark text.

August 2023 Update: AMD VCE for video encoding

August 2023 update fixes an issue related to AMD VCE for video encoding which was preventing the software to use the hardware encoder properly.

After this update, Screenbits should perform significantly better on AMD video cards so If you are using an AMD video card and wasn't happy with performance of the application, we recommend you give it a try after this update.

June 2023 Update: HEVC encoding, Window capture mode and area presets

June 2023 update brings the ability to choose HEVC hardware encoder (if available) for video encoding. It also adds a "Window" capture mode to simplify capturing window areas as you can now choose application windows from a list. Area presets are also available to save frequently used areas in Area capture mode and easily restore them at any time.
