The Warhammer Skulls Festival is over for another year and we want to thank all our Warhammer Underworlds: Online alumni as well as all our new Shadespire Edition players that joined us for the event!

[h3]Exalted Ladder Reset[/h3]
Many online battles were completed over the week, with a slate of new players climbing the rankings to exalted status! As Skulls '23 has ended, so the exalted masters have been toppled from their lofty thrones, with the removal of any inactive players. Those players that have not logged into the game since the start of the Skulls event are classed as inactive and are removed from the ladder, and had their rank reduced to 5 as per the usual season reset rules.

This opens up possibilities for new and old players to rise the ranks and join the exalted leaderboard! Can you battle your way through the Mirrored City and join the chosen few?

[h3]Skulls 2023 cardback[/h3]
If you jump into the 'Cosmetics' section of the Deck Builder, you'll see a shiny new Skulls 2023 card back! Once again thank you for taking part in this year's Skulls event - we hope to see you next year.



[h3]Offline Mode[/h3]
And finally! Due to popular demand we've implemented a new offline mode that is selectable at the start of the game for those who prefer, or need, to be off the grid for their gaming.

Please note that 'offline mode' only includes bot matches and single-player challenges, and some content unlocking rewards are not available. Also any progress made in 'offline mode' will NOT be sychronised with 'online mode'.

Make sure to update your game on Steam before jumping online. Note: You should see 1.8.8 in-game once you have the update.

And as always be sure to verify your files through Steam if you get any weird crashes, hangs or invisible fighters

Warhammer Underworlds - Shadespire Edition invites all of you to play with any of the 14 warbands that were mostly available as DLC in the original game!

Not only have we included the warbands and their respective card decks, we've also added all the cosmetic DLC items, such as extra skins, titles and portraits. There's plenty more cosmetic items for you all to unlock too, with each warband having its own leveling track for online and bot matches, and a further 42 unique Challenges to complete!

The price of the Warhammer Underworlds – Shadespire Edition will rise to $29.99 USD, but we’re keeping the price at $9.99 USD for the duration of this week's Skulls Festival, so grab it all while its hot!

• All warband and cosmetic DLC will now be included in the base game!

• Price of the Warhammer Underworlds – Shadespire Edition base game will rise to $29.99 USD, but we’re keeping the price at $9.99 USD for the duration of the Skulls Festival. This means you get the base game and all DLC content for just $9.99 USD!

• We’re also throwing in an exclusive Skulls Cardback to celebrate the festival! Just play one game of Warhammer Underworlds - Shadespire Edition, and once the event has finished you'll be awarded the card in the next update.

• To help beginners learn the game, we've modified the Activation and Round wheel so that it is clearer to understand turn order between Action Phases, Power Steps and End Phases.

Hi WU:O players! It's been a while since our last update - a very happy 2023 to you all. This small update fixes some small outstanding card bugs and also introduces the ability to now flip fighter cards at any time during the match, so you can preview a fighter's inspired stats. This has been a long-requested feature from players, so it's great we can finally introduce it.

- Added a card-flip button to fighter cards, to preview inspired and uninspired card states

Bug Fixes[/h3]
- Fixed Indomitable and Daemonic Resilience from discarding after the first attack, but before any damage has been incurred
- Removed "On Charge" footer from Daemonic Maw
- Fixed issue where fighter dying from reduced max health would not clear correctly
- Fixed interaction between Expendable, resurrection, and damage ploys that prevented glory being scored
- Fixed Light Armour not providing extra dice to No Respite
- Fixed Calculated Risk not scoring when Kunnin' But Brutal is used

We hope you enjoyed the Skulls 2022 festival! We've pushed out a small patch to address some bugs that recently appeared with the inclusion of the new Universal Cards.
