AppGameKit Studio 2020.11.12 latest version released!

We've just released a maintenance update to AppGameKit Studio! The main changes focus on the IDE, sprite drawing optimisations in Vulkan and numerous updates to the third party SDKs.

Here are all the details of the update:

IDE
  • Fixed switch current project selecting wrong tab
  • Fixed help not displaying if Help window isn't visible
  • Fixed + when UNCOMMENTING code replacing Clipboard contents with "//~"?
  • Fixed Scene Editor EditBox using multiple scenes in same file generating compile errors
  • Fixed Android export generating invalid .apk files
  • Fixed IPA export generating invalid .ipa files
iOS 
  • Fixed PlayVideoToImage and SetDeviceCameraToImage producing a black image on old 32-bit iOS devices
  • Fixed image corruption and quality reduction on iPad Mini 5th Gen and iPad Air 3rd Gen
Android 
  • Fixed video duration not resetting to 0 immediately after a LoadVideo call on Android
  • Fixed a crash on Android devices using the Adreno GPU when sending the app to the background
In-App Purchases
  • In app purchases on Android that fail to verify will now be ignored instead of causing an unrecoverable error during IAP setup
  • Added code to allow In App Purchase promotions to be selected in iTunesConnect
Notifications
  • Fixed local notifications on iOS causing a crash if tapped when the app is not running
VR DLC
  • Fixed a bug causing AGKVR DLC to show a black screen on the headset when using OpenGL with some GPUs
Amazon Adverts
  • Removed Amazon Ads from Google APK export due to policy conflicts
Windows issues
  • Fixed SetSyncRate always using mode 0 on Windows even if mode 1 is set
  • Fixed frame rate not reaching the value requested with SetSyncRate on the latest version of Windows 10
Drawing
  • Fixed DrawEllipse drawing small ellipses incorrectly
HTTP
  • Increased the number of simultaneous HTTP connections on Windows from 2 to 8
Third part SDK support
  • Updated Firebase SDK to version 18.0.0 on Android
  • Updated Chartboost SDK to version 8.1.0 on Android
  • Updated AdMob SDK to version 19.5.0 on Android
  • Removed Amazon Ads from the Google version of the Android player due to conflicts with Google's ad policy
Tier 2
  • Updated Android Tier 2 projects for Android Studio 4.1
Vulkan
  • Improved performance on Vulkan when using DrawSprite() to draw a sprite multiple times per frame
Performance improvements
  • Fixed performance degradation when broadcasting an app multiple times that contains a large number of entities (sprites, objects, text, etc)
  • Fixed performance degradation when using one of the DeleteAll commands and then creating a large number of entities (sprites, objects, text, etc)
Misc
  • Fixed a crash when using GetAppInstalled()
  • Fixed a memory leak when creating and deleting objects from height maps
  • Fixed ShareFile and ShareImage on Android 10 and higher
  • Fixed SaveSharedVariable commands for Android 10 but they will no longer work on Android 11 or higher due to file system restrictions
  • Writing to raw: file paths outside the app write folder will not work on Android 11 or higher due to file system restrictions
  • Fixed screen recording on Android 10 and above

AppGameKit Studio 2020.07.28 latest version released!

Today we are releasing a new version of AppGameKit Studio with lots of fixes and improvements to the main editor!
Here are the details of this new build:
IDE
  • Added - bookmarks work across all files of a project
  • Added - Bracket highlighting - if you click next to one it will now highlight the partner bracket
  • Added - "Clear all boookmarks" now works on all project files
  • Added - IDE window now regains the focus after running an app
  • Added - Improve navigation of the help (when you come back out it didn't remember your scroll position)
  • Fixed - Sometimes Ctrl+tab failed to switch tabs
  • Fixed - New projects are now shown in the recent projects menu
  • Fixed - bug when toggle bookmark was used, bookmarks could move position
  • Fixed - Search and replace issue. If you searched for ")" it would causes multiple weird changes
  • Fixed - Search and replace # with nothing crashed the editor
  • Fixed - Code folding issue to do with colon characters
  • Fixed - Keyboard navigation improved. Ctrl+End / Ctrl+Shift+End behaviour fixed and other highlighting behaviours fine tuned.
  • Fixed - If line numbers are off, break points overlap folding icons
Debugger
  • Added - Debugger now has a flag to turn on and off break points without having to remove them.
Asset Browser
  • Fixed - Dragging and dropping a folder disappears from the asset browser Bookmarks have been moved from the same position as breakpoints (a bit larger), so they don't overlap code folding symbols
Exporting
  • Fixed - Exporting to iOS does not compile the latest script
  • Fixed - Exporting an APK on Android can cause the IDE to lock up. This can happen frequently.
2D Sprites & Spriter support
  • Added SetSpriteBlendModes to set the blend modes manually when using transparency mode 3
  • Fixed SetSpriteScissor causing the sprite to not draw if the scissor values were greater than the virtual resolution
  • Spriter image pivots can now be animated
  • Spriter animations now support negative scales
  • Spriter files no longer need to have the same bone structure across all their animations
  • Numerous other small fixes to improve Spriter support
  • Fixed a crash when running a Spriter animation that had a different number of keyframes per varying value
3D
  • Fixed SetObjectMeshImage failing to remove the image if the image ID is set to 0
Maths
  • Calling the Mod command with a divisor of 0 will now return 0
Mac
  • Added missing libMoltenVKiOS.a and libMoltenVKMac.a to Mac Tier 2 files
  • Fixed auto-generated tangents being incorrect on triangles with a normal equal to -1 in the Y direction
iOS
  • Fixed occasional glitches in iOS apps when using MoltenVK
  • Fixed apps being rejected by Apple due to a newly deprecated API
Android
  • Updated Snapchat SDK on Android to version 1.4.4
  • Updated Firebase SDK on Android to version 17.4.4
