Patch 0.4.4

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.4 is now live[/h2]

[h3]The latest patch is focusing highly on optimization and fixing of major bugs that prevented some of the players from playing the game.

We have also remade the game's world chest system and their spawns. Players should now be able to find dramatically more chests from the world. Chests have now between 45-minutes to an hour respawn time and they will give players random loot from the loot pool and huge amount of experience. Keep in mind some items are more rare than others, making it rewarding to open up chests.

This patch also adds more immersion to the world as some NPC:s are having conversations between them and some enemies have custom sounds of their own when engaged in combat.

Game Improvements and changes summary:

World

  • More world chests added to world. World chests now have 45-minutes to 60-minutes respawn time
  • World chests give experience when opened
  • World chests loot pool changed
  • Blackfang Keep chest changes to match with world chests, different loot pool
  • More custom voice lines added to some NPC:s on Newharbor
  • More custom voice lines added to some NPC:s when interacted
  • Added more areas to explore in Westborough
  • Quest improvements
  • Some Enemy NPC:s have custom voice lines when engaged
  • Westborough Swamp area slight changes for foliage
  • Westborough Swamp area has been expanded slightly
  • Edaria AI statistical changes
  • Merchant item changes


Player Changes and Improvements

  • UI improvements on the main HUD
  • Merchant and Crafting UI slight changes
  • Spellbooks added as Off-Hand weapon for casters
  • Main Menu UI improvements
  • Loot Bag changed to Coin Pile
  • Value of Gold is now displayed only in single digits
  • Item value changes


Bugs Fixed

  • More Optimization changes
  • Fatal Error on joining the server has been resolved for most of the players
  • World Chest spawn is now working properly
  • Minor bugs fixed

Patch 0.4.3

[h2]Past Fate Patch 0.4.3 is now live[/h2]

[h3]The latest patch focuses more on early gameplay as well as improvements to Blackfang Keep; the first open world dungeon in Past Fate.

Early zones have had more things added to them. You can now find more lore items scattered in the world, more NPC's to interact with and more gatherables to collect!
We have improved the enemy AI to roam around their spawns. The AI loot table has also been increased with more item drops. The same applies to treasure chests found around the world.

We have made more optimization changes to be build. This will allow the game to run better on systems that were having optimization issues.

World
  • Newharbor has slightly more polished look
  • Areas in Westborough have been polished with added detail
  • Edaria has been polished with added detail
  • Some enemy characters now roam around their spawn points
  • Added more gatherables to the world
  • Added more chest spawns to the world as well as more items added to the chest loot tables
  • Slightly increased the amount of AI in Westborough zone

  • More lore NPC's & Lore books added around the world
  • Enemy characters now drop wider variety of items
  • Blackfang Keep skeletons and zombies have had their health reduced
  • Blackfang Keep first wing has been improved

Player Changes and Improvements
  • Player character animations have been improved (movement & combat)
  • Slight player statistic changes
  • Some player emotes added (Wave, laugh, bow, sit, sleep)


Gathering and Crafting
  • New craftables added
  • Slight crafting changes for resource requirements
  • Stack size for most common gatherables has been increased from 20 to 100. Most craftable items for example Copper Bar stack size has been increased from 20 to 50


Bugs Fixed
  • Optimization changes
  • Some reported minor bugs fixed
  • In-game music is now properly and smoothly changing between zone changes
  • AI bug fixes, AI should no longer chase player until catching up
  • Players chosen character type is now properly saved for Main Menu upon creation
  • Shields should now properly block out incoming attacks
