30XX 1.4 Patch Notes - February 21, 2026
Hello! It's been a minute - I hope 2025 treated you well. 30XX Patch 1.4, the Exiled Heroes update, is now live!
Patch 1.4 introduces Exile Mode, a spicy new way to play 30XX. Exile Mode places an emphasis on risk, reward, and loot - battle through spicy maps with dangerous and goofy modifiers, find Augmented Cores, Weapons, and Powers, each with their own set of random modifiers, and hunt for the mightiest gear while carving a path toward the Final Tier!
(Note: Exile Mode is currently a single-player only experience, but co-op will come to the mode as soon as we can. Once this patch is pretty stable, we'll work on bringing it to the Switch, as well. All the content in this Exiled Heroes update is free for all players, and contains no purchased DLC. We just missed working on 30XX a bit, and thought we'd whip up a fresh take on the game for you to dig. If it ends up being popular, we'll make more of it!)
Full notes below. Thanks for playing!

UPDATES:
- Added Exile Mode! It's accessible from the Main Menu.
- A few semi-spoiler-y details follow. If you want to go into Exile Mode totally blind, don't read these.
- In Exile Mode, you'll choose levels to tackle of increasing difficulty, one at a time. Like Mega Mode, death will only send you back to HQ - unlike Mega Mode, the levels are still fully randomized every time you enter a stage.
- Everything in Exile Mode has mods - levels, Cores, Weapons, Powers - both positive and negative. Tougher stages yield mightier rewards! You can only use one of each Core, so you'll be constantly finding new items, comparing their mods to the stuff you've got, and spotting cool combinations to help you wreck shop.
- Battle your way to the Final Tier in both Softcore (death just sends you back to HQ with your gear and items intact) and Hardcore mode (death resets your progress entirely) for the ultimate challenge.
- Changed how a few enemies interact with Dustria Spring Platforms to be a little more predictable.
- Removed acid trails from Watergrav Waterbombs.
- Limited the max fall speed of several enemies that probably should have had fall speed caps from the get-go.
- Deconstructor's Might AOE radius increased by 25%.
- Handful of chunk fixes.
- Recolored Beta Bouncy enemies. (They were
- so* close in color to the default alpha coloring.)
- The following enemies no longer "range out" in Contemplation Rooms and wait for the player to get closer before acting: Bouncy, Shield Turtle
- Lots of other little tweaks here and there.
