30XX 0.15.3 Hotfix Patch Notes - Feb 17, 2021

Hey, folks! We're blown away by the response to 30XX so far - there are lots of you playing our first Early Access push, so we wanted to get some quick fixes out for some of the major issues we've been seeing in the form of Hotfix Patch 0.15.3.

We know there's a lot more to work on in the near term, but wanted to make sure we got some of the big gamebreakers out of the way ASAP. More to come soon - keep those bug reports coming! Thanks for all your feedback so far.

FIXES:
  • Fixed an issue that'd make it look like you had full Energy as Nina after completing a stage with 0. (It was a display bug.)
  • Fixed an issue causing the Core Blessing (Memory Index upgrade) to work approximately 100% less frequently than intended.
  • Fixed a sneaky hiding wall in a certain Clockzone chunk (that'd make it look like you were landing on nothing).
  • Fixed the only common crash we've seen so far - keep those reports coming!
  • Fixed online issues where Trapmole, Shieldface, and Crystal Twin enemies (Echocave) weren't behaving properly for the client.
  • Fixed a few awkward level generations.
  • Fixed a few issues that might be causing Proton users to crash. (There may be more.)
  • Highvault Wind platforms now do a better job of stopping players from getting stuck in them.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the Mega Mode shop to not properly reset when you start a new run in a given slot.
  • Updated Chest graphics for a little more clarity. We have bigger plans here - we're not done yet!

30XX Early Access Out Now!

30XX Early Access - It's Time!


Hey, friends! After a few years in development, 30XX is at the point where we're ready for one of the most critical parts of our development cycle - your feedback! So it's time for Early Access.

We made a sweet new animated trailer to go along with our release, which you can check out here!



A little info about what's here in this release from our Store page:

"30XX's Early Access build contains 6 of the "main sequence" 8 stage themes - the other two will be added during EA.

It contains the game's classic Standard roguelite mode, as well as a new "Mega" Mode, which still generates a unique playthrough of the game, but dying only returns you to the start of that stage.

Both of these modes are playable solo, in local co-op play, or online. During Early Access, we intend to iron out the bugs with 30XX's netcode - we expect it to be fully functional for most players at launch, but players experiencing issues can try Remote Play Together, which works well if you have a solid connection to your partner."

Hotfix 0.15.2

Quick notes - 0.15.2 fixes a crash some players experienced where the game would crash after finishing the tutorial, selecting Mega Mode, then dying.

30XX Town Hall: Deepverse/Editor Edition

Hey, folks! 30XX comes out in Early Access in a scant 19 days, and we're beyond excited to finally get the game in your hands.

In our last pre-Early-Access Town Hall -- today, Friday, Jan 29, at 4PM PT -- we'll be talking about our sixth level theme, the cyberfunk Deepverse, and our recently revealed Editor/mod suite, and discuss whatever's on your mind.



As usual, the stream'll be on our twitch channel (twitch.tv/batterystaplegames) and here on our Steam page, but we'll mostly be answering chat via Twitch, so go there if you've got questions!

30XX Early Access coming Feb 17!

Hey, folks! On February 17, 2021 (about five weeks from this post!), 30XX will hit Steam Early Access.



Since the game's reveal last year we've been hard at work getting the game's guts in place and polished, and we're finally about ready to get your feedback so we can spend 2021 making 30XX the best game it can be.

At launch, 30XX will feature:
  • 6 level themes (with more in development during EA), each with their own visual style, platforming mechanics, enemies, music tracks, and bosses (and boss music tracks!)
  • Lots of Memory Index upgrades to choose from between runs, with plenty of ways to spice up your run with Entropy Conditions
  • Full co-op, both online and local
  • Mega Mode, for players looking for a non-permadeath experience
  • Our Editor tool, which lets you build and share your own 30XX levels if you're into that sort of thing
  • ...and lots more!




As with our previous game, 20XX, player feedback is a critical voice in our design process, so we're stoked to finally have 30XX at a point in development where we're ready to receive it - I hope you're as excited as we are!
