Sup Drifters!

Update 1.8.9 is here! We've got a spooky Halloween update with a new stadium, a ton of decals, some new Tournament and chat functions and more! Whether you're an artist with a car or with a paintbrush, there's something for you in this update!

[h3]Feature: New Stadium Track, Płock![/h3]

We've got Płock Stadium to drift around in Torque Drift! With some tight turns and a bright stadium, we hope you enjoy this new night track. With a football pitch, stands and a Drift Lodge to pose in front of for photos, we think you'll love this new track!

[h3]Feature: Halloween![/h3]

It's our Halloween update! Pick up some pumpkin crates and design your ultimate nightmare livery with over a hundred new decals, 3 new alloys and a horrific sounding horn to celebrate Halloween! You'll be able to get some Pumpkin crates in events, or just buy them with bullion to collect all the zombies, spiders and blood-curdling decals!


[h3]Feature: Voice Chat in Open Lobbies![/h3]
Want to talk to some of your new drift friends? We've added Voice chat to open lobbies! Turn on the microphone option in the creation menu, and make some friends! You'll be able to set up your microphone options in the menu, mute or unmute players on your end, and chat to drifters from all over the world!

[h3]Feature: Custom Tournaments![/h3]
Tournaments are back! You can now create public or private tournaments to battle up to 64 drifters to see who's the king of the track! Progress through rounds of drift battles, hold drift tournaments with your crew or open it up to see who can take it to the top!

[h3]Feature: Duck Tail Spoilers![/h3]

Duck tails! We've added two new ducktail spoilers, with the option to use them on the Mustang and the 180sx. A big fan favourite that we'd love to see more of on the track!

Sup Drifters!

Update 1.8.8 is now live! We’ve rebuilt our tutorial for new players, added a horn button, a flying drone, and more!

[h3]Feature: New FTUE for driving, first event, and garage.[/h3]

We've added a new Tutorial to teach players how to get sideways in Torque Drift. We realise it's tricky to learn all of the driving elements that drifting requires, so we've sought out the help of accomplished drifting legends Mad Mike Whiddett, and Daijiro Yoshihara to show you around! They'll take you through the new tutorial and show you how it's done!

[h3]Feature: Lobby spectator cam now shows a drone flying around for other players![/h3]

Try out the new free-roam camera in open lobbies! Your car's collisions will turn off, enabling you to float around without causing trouble on the track! On top of this, you'll appear as a wicked FPV racing drone just like the ones you'll see on Formula Drift tracks.

[h3]Feature: Chase chase car in practice.[/h3]

Always wanted to test one of your cars against another? You can now change your chase car during practice events! Simply complete a lead run with one car, then flip it out and chase it with a totally different car. You'll finally be able to work out the best car in your garage. Plus, think of the great photos!

[h3]Feature: Horn button[/h3]

Wanted to signal to other drivers in open lobbies? Chirp them on the start line? We heard your recommendation and added a good ol' fashioned HONK to Torque Drift.

Update 1.8.7 is here! We’ve got a new track, a new pro driver car and some great improvements to an old favourite!

[h3]NEW TRACK: ORLANDO[/h3]

We’ve added Orlando to Torque Drift! While the track was cancelled for this year’s Formula Drift Championship, it’s an incredibly iconic track with the mixture of concrete and tarmac making up a clean figure 8. We’ve also added the entire car park area with some tight turns and plenty of spots for crew photoshoots in Open Lobbies!
[h3]NEW PRO DRIVER: FIELDING SHREDDER[/h3]
Fielding Shredder has come to Torque Drift! Hop into his S14 and recreate some of those HYPERDRIVE moments!

[h3]HIGH RESOLUTION TRACK REMASTER : EBISU DRIFT SCHOOL[/h3]

A true fan favourite, we've totally remastered Ebisu Drift School! We've added an entire upper section that you can drive, a massive drag pad, some beautiful scenic views and some quality of life improvements along with track resizing to more closely mirror the real life Ebisu Drift School.

We’ve totally rebuilt the interior for the BMW E30 Interior from the group up for PC. This new High Resolution Texture is totally gorgeous for those of you that love the Interior camera angles!

Update 1.8.6 is here. The biggest update since the initial Early Access, we’ve brought OPEN LOBBIES (ONLINE MULTIPLAYER) to the game, as well as new layouts, a new track, high-resolution interiors and more!

[h3]OPEN LOBBIES[/h3]

The most requested feature since Torque Drift’s initial release, we’re proud to announce that Open Lobbies are now in the game! You’ll be able to create a custom game mode to hang out with friends, drift real-time tandems and run crew photoshoots with our free-roam camera! Whether you’re wanting to hang out with friends, chat, drift or battle, there’s something for everyone in this new game mode. You’ll be able to play on any track, invite friends with private codes or join a public lobby.

It’s cross-platform, you can switch collisions on/off, and we can’t wait to see what you get up to in this new game mode!

[h3]NEW TRACK: PIKES PEAK[/h3]
We’ve added the sprawling Pikes Peak to Torque Drift! One of our largest tracks to date, whether you’re after some road action, a drag strip, a NASCAR style raceway or the tight turns of a go-kart track, there’s something for you at Pikes Peak. There are 4 different layouts to try on Pikes Peak, each with something different on offer. On PC, you'll drift Pikes Peak at night, with headlights on your cars, and a party atmosphere at the track.


[h3]TUNE SAVING[/h3]
Want to try new tunes, but go back to your old faithful ones from time to time? Or maybe you’d like to tune cars to specific tracks or layouts to get the peak performance out of your ride?

With our new tune saving feature, you’ll be able to change your loadout in one click, meaning you can try out new suspension, camber, even neon, spoiler and body kits before deciding on what you’ll take to the track!

[h3]HD INTERIORS[/h3]
As part of our PC Overhaul, we’re rebuilding our interiors, which means gorgeous new detail for some fan favourites. In this update, we’re including revamps for the S14, the RX-7 and the E46 for PC.

Sup Drifters!

Update 1.8.5 is here. We’ve got a new track, layouts, a new manufacturer onboard and some exciting clutches to add to Torque Drift!

[h3]New Clutches:[/h3]

We’ve been able to add Exedy Clutches to the game, with 6 new parts being added.
We’ve included the following Exedy clutch models;



EXEDY Stage 1
Resistant to slippage and burst, with increased clamp loads for light horsepower track and street use.

EXEDY Stage 2
Handles high power modified engines, with cerametallic friction that handles much more abuse than stock type disc assemblies.

EXEDY Single Disc Hyper
With a series of turbine-like pressure plates to increase airflow, the EXEDY Hyper Single Series Clutch is engineered to optimize the performance of moderately modified cars with a purple anodized, forged aluminium cover.

EXEDY Twin Disc Hyper
The clutch a lot of drifters are using, this clutch kit and ultralight flywheel offer a Multi-Plate design ideal for high powered street, rally and road racing, with almost 1000ft/lbs of torque at the flywheel.

Exedy Carbon Hyper
The flagship model of the EXEDY Clutches originated in Formula One in 1995. Now the same technology is in street cars with lightweight, durable, resilient to high heat factors all contributing to faster track times.

Exedy Triple Disc Hyper
For the highest power street, drag, road and rally racing, the EXEDY Triple Disc Hyper comes with a lightweight, Chromoly steel flywheel and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. They’ve got huge heat resistance and a patented clutch “cushion” design.

Englishtown (E-town)
New Jersey race fans delight! We’re adding E-town Raceway park to Torque Drift. This seasoned race track has been given a new life with its inclusion into the Formula Drift Championship in 2021! You’ll have a chance to drive it before the pros do! The big question, would you drift the Go-Karts track, the carpark, or the drag strip?!

Pro Spec Import Spoilers
With PRO SPEC IMPORTS entering Torque Drift, you’ll be able to take their wing and slap it on your Supra. We’re also adding their Logo to the Sponsor Tree and their decal to the PaintShop!


[h3]Wheel Support (Beta) Improvements.[/h3]

We’ve been continuing to develop and improve our wheel support for Logitech wheels to more accurately replicate what real drifting feels like. We have made adjustments to how the force feedback feels and fixed multiple bugs. We are confident that we are moving in the right direction, although we are continuing to work with real pro drifters to get the right feel!

After we are happy with how the Logitech wheels feel, we will move onto wider support for other brands! Currently, the best setup is to have your driving style set to Aggressive or Smooth. (Unassisted will not feel accurate and isn’t named correctly currently)
