Version 1.8.3 - Mazda Month!

Sup Drifters!

Welcome to Torque Drift Mazda Month! Where we'll be launching new Mazda car every Friday for the next 3 weeks!
To kick things off we've got the stock RX7 FC and Mad Mikes RX8!
Followed by the RX8 Stock on the 03rd of July, Mad Mikes Pro RX7.3 on the 10th of July, and the RX3 Savanna on the 17th of July.

Each car will roll out with a special event with limited time rewards! Whether you’re into classics, customs or modern drift cars, there’s something for you in this update, and we can’t wait to see the new cars hitting the track!

It's not all about new cars though! We also have some exciting new changes to a the Slab track, new sticker packs, and Dan Burketts 2020 livery!
Stock Cars:
RX7 FC (S5) 1992 - Available now!

A fan favourite with a really cool profile, the RX7 FC. A 2 door Coupe powered by a 1.3L 13B-DEI Wankel Rotary. Available now in the garage!

RX-8 - Available 3rd of July!

One for the modern drifters, the RX-8 is the 2002 iteration of the legendary Coupe/Sportscar from Mazda, and rounds out our additions to the new stock cars in this update. Originally powered by a 1.3L Wankel Rotary, it’s now the popular drift chassis of FD Drivers like Kyle Mohan as well as Legendary Red Bull Driver, Mad Mike Whiddett. Available in the garage after the 03rd of July!

RX-3 S124 Series 3 Savanna 1977 - Available 17th of July!

Small and sporty, this RX-3 was powered by a 12-A rotary, and was one of the most popular rotaries to hit the streets before the RX-7 took up the mantle. Available in the garage after the 17th of July!
Professional Driver Cars
On the Pro Car Front, we’ve added 2 cars from Mad Mike Whiddett’s Garage, the Madbul, and the Badbul. These Pro Cars have got new engine’s roaring under the bonnet, and they’re some of the most fun cars in the game to date!

Badbul - Available now!

Mad Mike’s second pro-specification competition car build is also the only one to still retain its original race motor configuration – a triple-rotor 20B with a single turbocharger. Of all the cars that Whiddett has campaigned, he’s had the most success with BADBUL, standing on the podium at every round of the D1NZ National Championship in 2009 and also taking out the NZ Drift Series title the same year.

Madbul - Available 10th of July!

Starting its life as a 1992 Mazda RX7 FD, MADBUL is “Mad” Mike Whiddett’s first truly international drift car with a history stretching back over a decade. It’s got a Rocket Bunny custom body kit to blend the 1990s RX7 shape with the 1970s RX3 front. As such, it’s known as the RX7.3.
Sponsor Tree:
Improvements and the addition of Mad Mike!

With Mad Mike’s garage getting some serious muscle this update, we’ve put him in the Sponsor Tree. Mad Mike’s Sponsor Tree includes: Lead and chase challenges, driving and following Mad Mikes whole garage, Humbul, Radbul, Madbul and Badbul.
Three tiers of challenges, three tiers of rewards, highest being the RX3. If you can drift well enough you can be the first in game to drive the Savannah before its official release!

We’ve also changed up the sponsor tree with a ton of bug fixes and improvements. We’ve also changed some of the language used, so it should be clear what you’ve got to do to progress.
New Pro Liveries:
Dan Burkett

In addition to the merchandise we added last month, we’ve added Rad Industries Dan Burkett’s Super Rad 2020 Supra Livery he’ll be using for the upcoming Formula Drift Competition!
An Upgrade For The Slab!
As part of the process moving forward, we’re taking a second look at all of our tracks. We’ve rebuilt the Slab for the PC platform, with higher resolution textures, new layouts and some new models entirely! On top of that, we’ve connected up the back section of the Slab, so it’s now a continuous loop that you can throw it sideways all the way around.
New Sticker Packs!
If you’re one for designing your own Livery, you’re in luck! We’ve added three new sticker packs to Torque Drift to take your custom liveries to a whole new level. We’ve added the Basic Shapes Pack, the Detailed Shapes pack, and a new horror pack with all the blood stains and handprints you could ever ask for.

We’ve also added two new Status Error Sticker Packs with some retro and anime inspired designs. You can find more of their work and merch at https://www.statuserror.co.uk/

Version 1.8.0 is now live!

Sup Drifters!

Update 1.8.0 is now available and brings with it a tonne of new content and features, including new parts, cars, and cross platform account linking from Mobile to PC!
Account Linking:
You can now link a previously made Mobile Torque Drift account to your Torque Drift Steam account! This will move across all save files so that they are accessible to play on both devices!

To link your mobile with your PC accounts, log out on one device, then click ‘Link Account’ Follow the prompts on the other device that you would like to link!
Note: You can only link devices once! So make sure you do this process on the correct devices!
You can only link 1 Mobile device to 1 PC device. Save file merging is not currently supported.
New Parts:
Ford GT

Luxury cars are not often seen on the drift track burning tires, with notable exception of Formula Drift Pro 1 Driver Federico Sceriffo in his 6.0-litre V12-engined Ferrari 599. Though if given the chance, I'm sure we would all be keen to get behind the wheel and get one sideways.

We’re excited to bring this incredible RWD Supercar into the game to see what you guys do with it!

Custom Wings from Big Country labs!

Adding custom wings have been on our agenda for some time now, and we’re pleased to announce the day is finally here! You can now enter the ‘Spoilers’ section of the part store from within the garage and choose from a selection of top or rear mounted BCL wings to customize your car with!

With adjustable wing angle (For more Downforce!) and strut distance on most wings, this new addition adds a new level of customisation to your whole garage.

Note: Wings are not only a visual upgrade, but they now hold the ‘Rear Down force’ stat which was previously on the bodykit. ‘Front Down force’ still remains as a tunable stat on the bodykit.

Wilwood Brakes
New BodyKit:
370z Neo Samurai Calavera

One of Torque Drift’s artists Stefan TD: StefBear47 has created a fresh take on the 370z body kit and livery, drawing inspiration from the Mexican ‘Calavera’ Day of the dead Holiday.

Keeping in theme with both this update, and the Neo Samurai style, the kit is fitted with a massive wing.
New HD Interiors:
Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Chelsea Denofa

Darren Kelly

Jonathan Nerren

This update brings with it a handful of new HD interiors which will unlock the interior drive camera on the cars above!
Wheel Support (Beta):
We have opened up wheel support into a beta state with initial support for both the Logitech G920 and G29 Wheels.
Note: We are after lots of feedback on how these are feeling. The current state of the wheel support does not reflect what the final support will feel like. Support for all other major wheel manufacturers such as Fanatec and Thrustmasters is in development.

You can access the wheel mapping option from the control settings once you have connected your Logitech G920 and G29 wheel. There will also be an option in the bottom left to check input.
4-Player Local Split screen:
You can now drift with your friends in the local freeroam 4 player split screen!
We’ve got big plans for 4-player split screen, with unique party game modes on the way. But for the time being, enjoy 4 player drift trains!
Accessible from the Practice tab in events, on any ‘FreeRoam’ layout.

For those of you that are eager to play online with more than 4 people on the track, don’t worry. Open lobbies are already in development and will be coming in the following months.
