Warhammer Horus Heresy: Legions News

Event patch

Due to an error in the latest patch, the event decks used by the reinforcement warlords (Hibou Khan & Kyriss) were not similar in PC and in other platforms. A patch has now gone live fixing this discrepancy, so players on PC may see their event decks have changed if they were in the middle of an event run with one of these warlords.

Apologies for the incovenience!

Expansion announcement: Angels of Caliban

"For Caliban and the Emperor!"
– Lion El'Jonson

The Dark Angels are about to arrive to The Horus Heresy: Legions! Read on to learn about them and which other new factions will be part of the ‘Angels of Caliban’ expansion, starting on October 23rd!

The Dark Angels
The Dark Angels were the first of the Emperor’s Legions, and one of the most powerful and independent Legions at the time of the Horus Heresy. Remorseless and ruthlessly efficient, they made no compromises in the pursuit of their assigned duty.

The Warmaster’s machinations saw the First Legion sent out beyond the borders of the Imperium, where little news would reach them of his impending rebellion, and from where they wouldn’t be able to return on time to stop his advance on Terra.

Rumours of Horus’ betrayal eventually reached Lion El’Jonson, Primarch of the Dark Angels, who immediately brought back the full might of his Legion to fight in defence of the Imperium.

The Dark Angels will be released on October 23rd, as the first new faction in the Angels of Caliban expansion!

Defenders of Caliban
The First Legion discovered their primarch, Lion El’Jonson, in Caliban, a cruel and densely forested planet where foul monstrosities had long stalked the dwindling human population.

The young Lion El’Jonson was raised by Luther, a champion among the knights of the secretive Orders of Caliban. Together they would lead a crusade to rid Caliban of its curse and unite the Knightly Orders, though its aftermath would see Lion El’Jonson receive all the battle honours, leaving a wound in the pride of his mentor that would fester in the years to follow.

Things would come to a head during the compliance of Sarosh, after which Luther and a cadre of Dark Angels were sent back to Caliban, exiled and ordered to look after training and recruitment duties.

Resentful at being cast out of the Great Crusade, and disgruntled by the changes brought about by the Imperium to their home planet, the seed of dissent would soon spread among the wardens of Caliban.

The Defenders of Caliban will form the second faction of the Angels of Caliban expansion. They will arrive, shrouded in secrets, on November 6th.

Knight Households
Among the most fearsome war machines of the Imperium are the Knights, towering armoured figures piloted by nobles hailing from the ancient feudal Knight Worlds.

Each Knight Household followed its own traditions and strict hierarchy. Most were allied with a Forge World, and would walk to war alongside their Titan Legions in return for the advanced technology and knowledge that only the magos of the Mechanicum could provide.

The Knight Households will become a faction in the game, introducing exciting new mechanics to let you pilot these formidable machines of war. Get ready for their release on November 20th!

Neutral cards
As always, the expansion will conclude with 20 new neutral cards from Imperial Army, Mechanicum and Chaos, which will be released on December 4th.
