Experimental Branch Hotfix

Fixes
  • Introducing fix to cut down on crashes for some Quest users. (Punch blocking volumes removed as part of this.)

Experimental Branch Update

Changes
  • Increased enemy bludgeon damage cooldown from .2 to .25 sec, matching the cooldown for punches.
  • Player's hands get a larger punch-blocking radius when held up in a guard position near the face.
  • Removed arcade mode ammo drops for 2-EZ, EASY, and NORMAL difficulties where ammo is already infinite.
  • Increased brass knuckle damage (from 10 to 35).
  • Made pipe-to-lips volume bigger so we can get nicer looking crack hits without hitting ourselves in the face.
  • Added text descriptions for difficulty levels on options menu.
  • Ammo is now finite for both HARD and BRUTAL difficulties.
  • Max pipe bombs for BRUTAL and HARD mode reduced to 5.



Fixes
  • Fixed display count and rotation for pipe bomb ammo display (only visible in HARD and BRUTAL difficulties where ammo is finite)
  • Fixed bug that may have caused ammo drops not to refill Ghost .308 and Piovra 9mm magazines.
  • Corrections made to corkscrew weapon. weight reduced to eliminate floaty behavior, grip location/rotation adjusted for both hands.

Fixes
  • Fix for enemies sliding around when moving at low speeds.
  • Fix for enemies freezing in the ready position when a knife is left stabbed into them.
  • Fixed Wendigo footstep sounds not playing in several maps.
  • Fixed an issue that caused ragdolls to go flying when pulling a stabbing implement out of them.


Changes
  • Changed animation for enemy reaction to being shoved down.
  • Balanced ambient audio in map: Homewrecker
  • Removed an animation that caused unnecessary arm movements after headshots. No more flappin'.


This build has been pushed to the experimental branch as well!

Main Branch Update 0.31

Changes
  • New Sandbox map "Cold Roller" added.
  • Altered the way height adjustment is applied to make it more comfortable.
  • Increased range for height adjustment.
  • Changed menu interface for height adjustment to plus/minus buttons.
  • Added text to display current height offset.
  • Added a button to reset height offset.
  • Balanced audio: background sound in all maps, various sounds in both Wendigo and the enemy, and other sound effects.
  • Wendigo's footstep sounds will now play at a slower, more realistic interval.



Fixes
  • Improved logic for Wendigo's footstep sounds. Wendigo will no longer make footstep sounds while falling and will make an impact sound when landing from a big fall. Player fall damage has not been implemented yet but will be added at a later date.
  • Fixed several environment sounds not responding to changes in volume from the settings menu.
  • Oculus users will now see a proper loading screen on level transitions.
  • Fixed major issues with jitter and lag when holding guns in two hands.
  • Fixed issue in Black Site where several menu options were not selectable.

  • Improved logic for Wendigo's footsteps and fall sounds. Sounds are now more consistent, with more realistic timing. New landing sounds included as well.
  • Fixed some navigation bugs in "Cold Roller" that may have resulted in enemies getting stuck in certain spots.
  • Fixed some floating meshes in “Cold Roller”.

  • Temporarily disabled holster layout options for stability.
  • Balanced audio: background sound in all maps, various sounds in both Wendigo and the enemy, and other sound effects.
