Patch notes 2024/05/02

 • Fixed various floor and wall collisions inside the house during Anne's fight
 • Bug fix: During Anne's boss fight, if the player was to restart the fight after completing phase 1 or 2, the dress was already burned and could not be interacted with. This has been fixed.

Once A Tale is out now!

Once A Tale will take a bit longer...

Hello everyone,

We have been telling you for months that the release of Once A Tale would be in March. We are now approaching the date we thought Once A Tale would be ready. However, some things came up at the last moment.

The recent feedback from the demo proves to us what we already felt from the beginning: that Once a Tale is something special. But even though we tried as hard as possible to keep the deadlines we had given ourselves, we realize that in order to create the best game possible, we are going to need some extra time. This will give us time to further polish the game and pursue discussions with partners.
We owe it to ourselves and to you to get this right. We really hope you understand.

That being said, we are still really excited and eager to release Once A Tale and hope you will be too.
We promise we won’t make you wait too long!

In the meantime, we do have a few things we have been working on:
• YouTube videos for Once a Tale’s soundtracks
• Devlogs 3 and 4

We’ll continue to keep you updated with all the latest info about development, and if there is anything you would like us to make or show you: Let us know!

Thank you to all of you for your patience and support.

February News Update: Articles, Events & Feedback

Hello Everyone!

Here is the last countdown post we will make before Once A Tale's release! Do not worry, we will still keep you updated on the latest news about our game. This only means we are very close to everyone experiencing the full Once A Tale!

We wanted to mention how appreciative we are of those who gave us feedback on the game after playing the demo. It has been a big help in fixing things up and setting the game up for success upon release. But first, we have some news related to the events that Once A Tale was a part of these past weeks, and news about the Devlogs, so lets get right into it!
Events
As you may know, we have been featured in Games from Québec and in Steam Next Fest the last couple of weeks. We are excited to say that has helped us tremendously to get closer to our goals before launch!

So welcome to all the new players, thank you for downloading Once A Tale's Demo, and most of all, thank you for adding Once A Tale to your wishlists!

If you are new and you want to join a growing community, or chat with the devs here is a link to our discord.
Article about Once A Tale!
Thank you to GamesRadar for the kind words in your recent article about Once A Tale.

"...Once a Tale sees players take control of two children as they explore unfamiliar surroundings, work together to solve puzzles, and uncover the truth of how they got there in the first place. Unlike Little Nightmares, this adventure game is a bit more family-friendly and takes inspiration from the Brothers Grimm story of Hansel and Gretel, as well as other well-known tales. "
