1.1.7 Patch Notes

A few changes today to fix some of the various ways you could get into a sticky situation sometimes.

  • Reworked Acrophobia
    - Will only instill loyalty loss when entering a elevated region initially instead of every day while being on it
    - Does now trigger always trigger when entering the elevated region instead of only 33% of times (which was confusing)
  • You can no longer be surprise-attacked when returning to the map after some days have passed during an event
  • The items for Unpredictable Conditions are no longer sellable (so they won't clutter the barter screen). They will also no longer ever have their price reduced in the ship shop before expeditions.
  • Keys for the Sealed Pyramid can no longer be dropped. This prevents a number of ways in which it was possible to lose keys that were required to complete the expedition
  • Recently recruited characters don't lose loyalty when you dismiss another character
  • Improved performance on the map, in particular when revealing tiles
  • Improved status clean-up after finishing a island
  • Added new elephant attack animation
  • Fixed treasure maps sometimes showing the wrong tile for treasure (again, hopefully)
  • Fixed Scroll of Renewal being able to put you in an unreachable map situation
  • Fixed a black screen when returning to the map sometimes
  • Fixed missing text bugs in various events
  • Fixed issue where the wrong tile was chosen in prehistoric for portals
  • Fixed character being invisible when mounted in combat sometimes
  • Fixed Japanese translation for "Mysterious Fog"
  • Fixed some tiles in Cavern map being shown as having been discovered when they hadn't

1.1.6 Patch Notes

Today's patch should hopefully finally get the last issue with the Missing Explorer. Turns out sometimes the treasure was in the correct place, but the map itself was wrong! Sorry about that! Please report any more issues you find with that one.

  • Rebalanced the Jellyfish's combat combos
    The Jellyfish's emphasis on Burning means that it had a way higher potential damage output than we intended, especially when using multiple of them. We reduced the impact of boosting on its burn effects, but gave "Massive Electroshock" a chance to stun instead. That way it should remain a strong attack option, but without the same potential for stacking to unintended heights.
  • Added new travel effects to the Corrupted biome
  • Made some Wandering Islander events that only give standing not happen when you are already at 10 standing
  • Fixed volcanos sometimes having traversable tiles within them
  • Fixed treasure maps sometimes showing the wrong tile for the treasure
  • Fixed the infobox for dice that come from character Perks not showing any details about where it came from in Event challenges
  • Fixed some sorting issues in some events
  • Fixed issue where the UI wouldn't appear when going back and forth between expedition and club selection screens
  • Improved loading times on some larger maps

1.1.5 Patch Notes

Another patch today, including a fix for the issue where the Lost Explorer's treasure map would be offshore. Doesn't he know you can't swim???

  • The Duke will no longer buy back items he creates for you
  • Can now use a Health Potion to help your Rival in Act 4
  • Fixed the Missing Explorer's Treasure Map sometimes spawning offshore
  • Fixed the Orb of Corruption removing the Prismatic Falls location
  • Fixed not being able to send a bug report sometimes
  • Fixed events not properly starting on the map sometimes, leading to a situation where you can't do anything
  • Fixed Dinosaur Recruitment not always giving you the dinosaur you chose
  • Fixed Escort ruler to Paris quest not counting towards anthropology checklist

A small update to brighten up your weekend!

  • Added a unique effect to Egg of Corruption usage on map
  • Improved Chinese translation of the Wandering Duke and Rampaging Duke on the map
  • Stability improvements for Club Competitions

  • Characters can no longer leave the party due to Anger in the tutorial
  • Fixed losing standing with Polyglot when resting at 10 standing
  • Fixed only path to ship or objective being blocked by falling lava in some situations
  • Fixed invalid "party full" message after combat sometimes
  • Fixed the item vibration being incorrect when scrolling in the Duke's gifting interface
  • Fixed lost explorer map sometimes not digging treasure
  • Fixed sounds being playing multiple times at the same time when leaving locations sometimes

Welcome to all the new players who've joined us since the free DLC launched last week! We hope you're enjoying the game — we've already published a couple of updates over the weekend for some of the bigger issues, and today we've released another patch.

Thanks to everyone who's been sending us bug reports! If you find a bug, please report it in-game using the button in the Options menu. That way, we get your savedata, logfiles and other useful information that helps us solve the problem faster.

If you haven't done it already, please remember to leave a review for the game on Steam, it really helps other people discover it!

  • A trek member now always gets only 1 Loyalty for being promoted
  • Increased the price of the items for "Unpredictable Conditions" from 15 to 25
  • Reduced the Sanity cost of Glowing Maggots to 5
  • The Jellyfish's "Gatherer" perk now kicks in more frequently
  • Items from the Jellyfish's ability will now be given at the end of the trip instead of during it (which could cause you to be overburdened during a trip)
  • When all dice and rerolls are used in combat, an "End Round" button appears instead of "Choose a Dice" prompt
  • Items that are part of the Unpredictable Conditions Director Mode Modifier can no longer be dropped or traded
  • Malin can no longer be sent into the Cenote location
  • Club Inspector will no longer ask to stay at a village
  • Lemonade can no longer ever be on sale
  • Animal Scent can now be used to add a dice when attempting to tame roaming wildlife
  • You can now skip the tutorial as long as you've started it once (you don't need to finish it)
  • Reroll Retaliation glossary entry now mentions that Stunned characters won't retaliate
